A cutoff wheel, even if its on a dremel works nice.

The hose tightly wrapped in electrical tape, fine toothed hacksaw in a vise should get the job done.

Like someone in the other thread said...Car Craft had an article in there about how to cut the hoses...get a large chisel and file it down some to make it sharp...get a block of aluminum and strike the chisel through the hose on top of the aluminum block. They say it works, and there are no splayed ends...

One word... Port-A-Band

Works like a champ. Just wrap the hose in electrical tape and then cut right through the middle of the tape. No splayed ends and about 5 seconds of work.

i used an air saw with the tape, it sucked, however my blade was dull...

thanks for the input though i am going to try that hammer and chisel on some scrap i have.
