This has become one long *** post! Hey, BlackLS1 T/A kiss my ***! Just kidding man. I've never seen you mad before , it's kind of funny. All joking aside I'm very pleased with my kit but I will stand by my word that they need to work on their customer service.I'm no whiner I seriously had bad problems with their service!Too many lies.I had the same probs as the guy who started this post. They told me my stuff was shipped out on a certain date knowing damn well it wasn't,they did that at least 10 times. Why lie?I think I'm going to start another post about ATI's piece of crap 6rib system they made for the LS1, they must have been smoking crack! I know some guy's in Houston that are making a cogg system for the ATI I can't wait! Later , TheBeet.

GWP already has a 8rib and cog setup for the Procharger from what I understand.

They also have modified the radiator support so the stock twin fans can be used.

They have alot of great pieces that they should advertise more. (Jason are you out there) I know you are.

I think in the end it comes down to patience. Some people have more than others. You will get the kit and access to someone that will spend countless hours on the phone making sure everything is good.

Just my $.015(I can't afford $.02 after taxes)

John

I dont understand how you guys can say the GWP's service is bad. I purchased my kit a few months ago, Yes maybe it took them a little while to put everthing together and send it out to me. But let me tell you when I recieved that huge box in my front door I was one happy costomer. I took it to my garage and opened it, the kit was 100% complete and looked like it was a great quallity product. The intercooler was HUGE, all parts had great craftmanship.

I looked for installation instructions but couldnt find any. The next day I called GWP to ask questions about the install they have answered all my questions and they even called my mechanic performing the install to go over the entire installation & setup. I have been calling almost every other day asking small questions about the setup, where to mount, would this be better, do I really need this, ect... Iam suprised that Kenny still picks up the phone when I call.

They have been extremely helpful with the install and I believe that I not only purchased a great package but great service advise.

Well my install is about 90% complete I just shipped GWP my PCM so hopefully I will get it back within the next two weeks.

I will post my dyno numbers when I get my car rolling again and Iam sure Iam going to be even happier than I am now when I see the results.

STOP TRASHING GWP,

If you have a problem with them call them up Iam sure they will work with you to solve your issue.

Black LS1 T/A, you do have big time bias toward GWP. You may not be on the payroll, but you do make GWP's message forum ( I noticed it said mlbuie on it.) : http://www.mlbuie.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi

But, I've learned in life not to go on other people's word, especially when those words conflict. Though I listen and respect others opinions and advice (nothing wrong with going into anthing with your eyes open), I choose to follow my own experience.

I wish I lived that close to them. I envy Clay Loving that. He's having a ball right now letting them tweak the 422 setup in his Trans Am. If I were there, I'd trust then enough to let them test two different configurations simultaneously, if they liked.

I think Clay may be seeking around a higher 700+ HP version of their 422 config. I was actually targeting around 650 RWHP, with a milder profile. But, I'm divided on that, because I would really like to see how powerful the car would dyno and ET here at Sea Level (plus, I'm sure I could get used to that power ). Plus, because I chose a milder setup, I'd hate for people to start saying what they put together out in CO was bogus because it was only mid-600's out here.

What changed your mind about getting a 400+ cube setup from the guys you were going to use?

I'll add one more comment here. I did try to give GWP another chance ,I wanted to buy a cogg or 8rib system from them .This was over 3 months ago.All they do is give me the run around and lie. When I talked with them ,they said a couple of weeks.I've finally gave up and I'm getting my cogg made elsewhere.I don't know what the hell is wrong with those people.May'be they have too much work and need to hire some more people? Later , TheBeet

It'll be interesting to know how long it takes them to get it done and what they charge to get it done expeditiously.

I've been talking to RPM Outlet (713-858-8095)there doing some testing on it next week. They said they already have the pulleys and were looking for a belt.I know ATI and ASP were involved in the system.I'm praying it works. Could you imagine zero slip running 12lbs of boost! Later , TheBeet.

A re-stocking fee for something they have a stock# for and never shipped? FUUUUU*K THAT! I would've told him he was smoking crack. A re-stocking fee is just that, a fee that is charged when they actually pull it off the shelf and have to put it back on the shelf. How could he charge a re-stocking fee for something he(Jason) never had in his possesion in the first place.

Whoever said the re-stocking fee would've been justified needs to put the crack pipe down too.

I'm a business owner and do nothing but ship via UPS or freight truck.

GWP sounds like a real winner.

You are a business owner?

Let's say someone ordered a kit from you that required pieces ordered from, say, four different suppliers. You had all those pieces shipped to you, minus, say... the programming.

The customer decides he doesn't want to wait any longer and wants a refund.

Hasn't the vendor spent money on the other shipments?

Might some of those suppliers want restock fees from the vendor?

What about time spent rounding up these parts and money spent for long distance calls?

What about fielding questions from this customer nearly every day about the status of a part or parts you, the vendor, are waiting on?

And NOW they don't want it?

What do YOU feel warrants a re-stocking fee?

Tell me NONE of these things warrant a re-stocking fee. I'd think a person running a business would understand this! What business do you run?

Black LS1 T/A:
I think they make some nice customized kits, but their business practices and customer service is in question.

If any of the above is true, it's just wrong. I would be concerned about your deposit as well. They are making poor, inexperienced business decisions. Financially they scare me.

The product isn't in question.

Is this a forum that we can speak our mind regarding GWP, without it being erased.

I too have experienced the lies, delays, and lies. And did I mention lies? The one thing that keeps going though my head is...Jason at GWP saying over and over again that 9psi will not hurt the engine...I wanted to run only 7psi. I didn't even get 300 miles out of my engine after my installation before I had broken ringlands due to detenation. GWP assured me that it wasn't the bottom end and was anything else but programming, etc. Needless to say that 300 miles, $6,000 later and a whole lot of lies my car blew up. And I will NEVER, ever call for anything, and if you are foolish to do so...well, that's your right. Oh, and if you hear from the unofficial spokesperson for GWP...BlackLS1...he'll try to spin things in the other direction. GWP is so busy that they are unable to control things...he's got a ton of excuses that he can make for them. And if anybody wants a stage 2 kit, I'm sure that you can e-mail just about any of us that have one and we an tell you what you need versus going through GWP. Buy direct--No middleman!
