Speed Inc. dynoed a M6 car with the Vortech SQ, the quiet one. Car has headers, no cats, and catback. With pcm tuning by Brian from BV Performance, Speed Inc. was able to pull 502rwhp from this car! I think the torque was 486. AF ratio was about 12.5:1.

Is that with a V-9 G-trim unit (Retrimed to SQ or something if that's even possible) or are you talking about a V-2 SQ-trim unit. If its the latter I wonder how they mounted the headunit. I'm trying to figure out how to do a V-1 T-Trim maybe even a V-7 YS-trim for big blower wow factor and the fact that it'll be good for 1000+ hp.
In any case I wonder if they'll make a kit if it really is the V-2 SQ-trim.

It's just the traditional SQ head unit as supplied in the regular kit.
No boost gauge on the car.
9lb pulley as supplied in the regular kit.
Inline fuel pump, SLP headers and cats, and Corsa catback.

Those are the best numbers i've seen. It must be dialed in perfectly. I hope mine is close to that.

Ok, I made 506/489 with an Ed Wright pcm, and I have heads and a cam also! I'm going from 6 speed to Auto, so I think I will get mine tuned by BV. There's got to be a few more ponies in there somewhere!

I am confused.. There are people running stock heads and cam and they dyno 470rwhp plus and people with H/C packages only dyno'ing 40 to 60rwhp more.. The #'s do not add up.. I would think 550rwhp plus with H/C compared to the 470rwhp stock h/c.. Actually there should be atleast a 100rwhp gap between the two if the combo is setup right with the same boost levels. Otherwise the investment of a H/C package and FI would not be worth it.. Building a stronger bottom end would be a better investment..

I agree Mellow.. I just need the #'s to add up.. H/C cars just last year were only dyno'ing 430rwhp with 3.42's and now we have cars dyno'ing 440 plus rwhp with 4.11's.. Even the A4's are dyno'ing what old M6 cars use to dyno.. Now this has rolled over into the FI section.. Stock ls1's with 9psi are dyno'ing the same as last years H/C cars with 9psi.. Hmmmmm...

CoopDog, was that tuned on a dyno by Ed? If it's mail order you just can't compare the two. Not fair to compare dynotune to finger in the air programming by mail order.
BV tried to get more HP out of ProStockJohns car and ended up (after LOTS of dyno runs) with less overall HP and some waves in the overall HP graph. Id be interested Coop in pulling out your LS1 file and taking a look at it myself. Probably just pouring too much fuel into the motor at WOT...or maybe not enough.
Let me know....

SORRY!no BS here,00 WS6 M6 w/stock H/C,SLP LT's w/cats,Corsa catback,and 10bolt w/3.42 gear and dyno tuning by BV PERFORMANCE.
We are doing a 98 WS6 this week and will have BV Performance tune it and I am sure it will prove these #'s are correct.I am sure it will be a little off since all cars are not the same.
I will post results when available

I think youll see pound for pound the blowers are pretty close to the turbos, but the area under the curve I think is where turbos accel.

how stock was it?
That's the Vortech kit I was looking into buying until the shop told me it would break the rear axle. I can see he wasn't kidding!
