Just trying to understand what that means. Say if you had a 402 ci engine already making 460-480 rwhp would this kit exceed 700 but not be the most effecient. 2) Is this kit large enough for 400+ ci engine? 3) Are there draw backs running the upgraded kit at lower hp levels (spool up, etc) 4) Does the upgraded kit fit as well with the larger turbo and intercooler? Thanks
1) To reach the 700RWHP level, the bottom end will have to be able to hold itself together at that power level. The heads do not have to be ported. The cam does not need to have over .550 lift. A better flowing motor will make the same power at less boost.
2)Yes
3)Upgraded meaning bigger turbo...yes, slightly. I estimate about 500-600 RPM in spool.
4)Yes.

it seems there is a little confusion on what all comes with the kit...

could you please list..... ie: what size piping/charge pipe, what dimension IC, and any thing else that will come with your kit...

keeping systems in stock is the smartest move yet.... Damn i cant believe it took someone this long to figure that out

you guys sound like you got your ducks in a row and are ready to do some business. Nice job!

1.) Yea i would like to know exactly whats all included in the kit and what else i need for jsut 8 psi base DD.
2.) Running about 8 psi, what RPMs will it start to spool?
3.) Running about 8 psi, how much power should i put down? About?
4.) So whats the price to upgrade the turbo later down the road? The turbo that comes in the kit is good for about how much boost and HP?

Thanks

They sure do!!! Superior quality is just one of the many features that makes our system such a great buy for the customer. I believe we are the only company offering such a warranty on hot parts.

Not to be off topic too much, but how does your supra compare to woon's or saad's setup out here in az?

You think the new tt vette or whatever you decide to build will be faster then their supra setups?

My Supra is running the same turbo as their cars along with my own version of the built 2JZ which is a derivative of the Pro RWD class 2JZ which run mid 6's at 218 mph!!

I do not know what to expect from the Corvette. The LS1 engine is a phenomenal platform with which I think I can surpass the Supra's horsepower. The weak link in the Corvette is the driveline. If I can figure out how to bulletproof the driveline, I think an 8 second pass in a 6 speed Corvette is doable.

I'm new to the turbo thing. Don't they get really hot? Isn't that kinda bad to have it that close the radiator? Won't it heat up the coolant?

Thanks, Andy

no, infact most turbo kits place them even closer to the radiator that this kit. look at ptk's pics and speed inc's setup. they are all give or take right around the radiator. it wont heat up the coolant. the fans pull air through the radiator towards the engine bay, not pulls air FROM the engine bay.

I know how the cooling sys works. I was just thinking that the turbo got super hot and when sitting in slow moving trafiic the the heat would soak into the radiator side tanks heating up the coolant. But, I guess not.

Thanks, Andy

I know there were are alot of posts, I was wondering if you guys had decided on selling just the hot parts, and if a large frame turbo could be made to work with your kit?

Cant wait to see some good pics of how the DP mounts
Thanks
