PSJ, I don't share "her" opinions at all.
I have lots of respect for what you do and how it's done. Not all of us have a thousand free manhours each year to do all the work ourselves.

We will get it under control. The rest of this post is more for entertainment, anyways,

He said he called FEdEx and had it stopped since we have the newer versino of EFILive on my laptop, which has the dwell maps, and FedEx has had him waiting for quite some time.

Oh Lord no, FedEx is the devil
You might not see that PCM for a month..
FWIW, Tiff and I hit the road to Power Tour with a COMPLETELY untested combination. We built her car from the ground up in our own garage with our own 4 hands in 7 weeks prior to the trip. Motor, turbo setup, fuel system, rear end, wiring, and PCM's (stock + MS). Its not like we instituted a failure by putting a MegaSquirt ECM on an existing solid combination. We looked hard and fast at several solutions, and were originally going to go with HPTuners but they weren't offering 2/3 bar tuning for 98's, so that was out. We looked at BS3, but couldn't afford it after building the car. We looked at MS, and seeing Scott/Jim's success made it pretty easy to jump on board. Looking back, I firmly believe it was the right choice for Tiff's car.
Getting back on-topic though, the ignition control on the LS1 PCM's should get you everything you need for spark output, at least as far as a factory style coil can go. Another option is to run a 16V battery for a fatter spark.

dang, too much drama.
i hate to see the megasquirt bashing but everyone has their own opinion.
John did hook me up with hotrod and after being in hotrod doors open much easier. i get some really good deals on stuff sometimes and if it weren't for hotrod(psj). i would be paying full price and probably wouldn't be as quick as i am now. thanks again John.
i got my pcm back today, thanks Intmd8.
rear end is fixed too, friday is looking good for a max effort attempt.

Everyone keeps saying that the MS is great for the price, honestly I think its great period. If it cost 1k or more, would that make everyone feel better about it? If you took the MS box, and used a better looking software package on it, people wouldnt be able to tell the difference.
THere is really nothing the "Big Dogs" can do that MS cant. If they can control the 4l60e/80e, then its even cheaper than the TCI T-Com.
There is a decent support network available for the hardware, it is a viable option for any car, dont see the reason no one want to try it.
Ive used a FAST system (not personal car) and the only real difference is the FAST had a better software package on it. It looked prettier BUT wasnt any more user friendly.
