dang that sucks, those heads are expensive.

did your logs show detonation, looks like the chamber on the head is spotted.

did it just melt there, or did the turbo get some stuff through it as well?

it looks like where it burnt though you should be ok, as in its not as bad as it could have been

i had a spot of KR at the launch when i was pealing out and another at a shift, both under 2deg and when things are bouncing around i dont really trust those sensors. then about mid 3rd there was one spot of kr up to 1.8deg. i didn't hear anything. i am prety sure i didn't have good enough fuel or enough of it.

Oh man, that really stinks I was really hoping it was just a gasket, and you'd be back on the road...

Just saw the nice pics. Ouch. Gonna have to go to Jim's after work tonight and witness the damage firsthand!

Unless there was an issue with the power or the connector at the injector, if the injector stopped firing I'd expect the other 3 injectors on that bank to do the same...

It was a cold day, but humid. Still good for making power. I wonder if we didn't lose some water/meth pressure? AFRs weren't super great but again not all that bad, unless we missed something.

What size injectors, what fuel pumps? Were you at the 1000rwhp level or less?

looks familiar. i was able to get my cyl head re welded for like 40 bux at a local shop, my block didnt look as bad, but right around the cyl looks good on yours, and i wouldnt be surprised if it sealed fine (mine did)

i was on a 20 psi pull on pump and meth, 144.6mph when it bit me. i was happy it was a relatively cheap and easy repair.

96's, twin 340m's, probably 1100+rwhp based on 5000lb's and 110mph in the 1/8th. i log my fuel presure and it didn't drop, my a/f didn't drop either but it was a little higher than i was shooting for.

i am sure it was a combo of not quite enough fuel and not good enough fuel. no one to blame here but me.

114L + Meth is like what TwnTrboCe runs, maybe it was not enuff issue. Or an injector locked up?

not sure buy my next trip to the track will be c16 and 11.5 max. since it was the typical #7 i am going to say it isn't an injector problem. i was just too close to the edge and that was(and always is) the first cylinder to go.

Right on sounds like it could be it. C-16 and a 11:1 AFR should keep you away from that. Good luck on getting her back out soon.
