I was wanting to, but being in FLA and starting with a 90-120* ambient isn't going to get me far. I need the dual ATI intercoolers..

Maybe if I lived in Alaska.. or Sweden.. LOL!

Here's the LPE/Magnuson Installation Guide.
Includes pics.
Looks like they do re-route the IAT to the blower area!

I downloaded the installation instruction for the Magna Kit. I was wonder how much fit trouble is there to go on a F-body. The LS1 does sit alittle lower in the engine bay of a F-body. Maybe need a small bump like the Vettes, but other than that it shouldn't be too much hard to get it on us F-body. What do you other F-body guy think?

mellowyellow: Your rationalizing with forced induction. It doesn't play that way there are too many factors. Too many to go into. A lot of us have already rationalized more boost because of whatever reason. And a lot of us have rebuilt their motors too. Well I have at least because I had too with just 8# of boost. But with stock compression ratio so I see what your thinking. But just a word of advice it doesn't quite work out the way you think.

P.S. I'm not an expert but do know some about boost because I've been "FORCED" to learn.

I too am wondering if it will fit on an fbody. If it clears the cowel, it shouldn't be a problem with the hood.

Hmmmm.....this winter might be interesting.

Right now its 382 all bore vs. FI.

Let me get your guys input here. Where does the LS1 need more power at. I have a H&C car dyno's on two different dyno's on two different days at two different temps. High 430/400 Low 410/396 RWHP/RWTQ. I have a ATI D1 S/C in my garage waiting for me to install. Lets say the ATI @ 5lbs of boost makes a conservative 500/500 RWHP/RWTQ on my H&C car. I guess what I am trying to avoid is excessive wheel spin. If you are building a lot of torque down low (which I know is ideal for drag racing with slicks) such as with a roots type blower. Wouldn't be better to start building the torque a little later once the car is rolling. I already spin my 335's pretty easy.

Agree. One of the nice things about the ATI SC is that the power curve is good for traction. I think you'll want 7# to reach your 500/500 goal tho.

Mello,
From what I have heard most H&C cars with ATI D1's have been laying down 500-550 RWHP on 5lbs of boost. Have you heard or seen differently. What have been some of the numbers you have seen on H&C cars.
Thanks

The Magnuson takes 1/3 hp when traveling at around 60mph. It has a dump valve that hangs open until mainfold vacumm drops from de-pressing the throttle. Press the throttle, bypass valve shuts, charger starts charging. Or so I have read.
