Default SDCE and a Smaller Blower Pulley

I am currently running the SDCE with a 3.4 blower pulley.
Does anyone make a smaller pulley like a 3.2? Any other option to get my boost up from 7#?

have you done the math?
won't you overspin the blower quite a bit with the 3.2?

With the SDCE pulley (7.25) and a 3.2 blower pulley spining the engine to 6500. I will spin the blower to 60k, max is 65k

hmmm I wonder if they use a smaller crank pulley now?
I could have sworn when I had mine a few years ago a 3.4 would have just about maxed out the blower by 6000rpm.
well yah it sounds like you need a 3.2 then.
ASP can make it for you if you can't find any used ones.

Unless my calculations are wrong.

Crank Pulley / Blower Pulley * 4.10 * engine RPMs

7.25 / 3.2 * 4.1 * 6500 = 60,378

sorta

7000rpm and 3.4 with the 7.25 SDCE crank is about max for a D1SC (62K max).

A P1SC-1 is rated at 65K so at 6500rpm a 3.2 pulley will just be fine. Even though after 58-59K or so a P1's peak boost doesnt increase a whole bunch in my experience.

ASP or riechart will make one, may call ATI and see if they sell a 3.2 8 rib. Bob at EPP is a good guy to deal with for ATI parts if you dont want to deal with the friendly staff at ATI

ASP can make em.

Ive had them make me a few different sizes for my Vortech. Usually about 4 weeks from placement of order til I received them, and I'm in the UK.

Off subject question but with a 3.4 P1sc, how much power increase would you guess on converting this to a D1sc with the 3.4?

Well ASP just got back to me and can make me anything I want.

What would be the smallest I could run with the SDCE?

3.0"?

You can always go with a larger crank pulley. Try the 7.65 that comes with ATI 8 rib kit. That should put u close to maxing out the D-1SC with the 3.4 SC pulley around 6500-6700RPM.

Yep, the 7.65 with a 3.4 would max out my P1 @ 6500. But will it mount up to a ATI Damper?

Then again, I don't thing the belt will clear my EWP. It barely clears now.

But I would rather go with a large crank pulley if it will work.

I am currently running the 7.65 8 rib crank pulley with a 3.7 on my D1 seeing a good 8 and close to 9psi. @ 62-63k Granted you have a bigger motor though., vs my stocker. The 8 rib crank pulley mounts directly to the ATI superdampner, with no problems.

Sweet! Now to see if it will clear my EWP.

Are you running the SDCE tensioner?
