Dyno Queen Rides again, new numbers
Put it on last week but was blowing out the gap, I was going to be super busy so I told them to take their time.
Well today they regapped it and ran it. I don't have the graph yet, or alot of the specifics, but here were the numbers:
574rwhp
613rwtq
This is on a Mustang EC dyno, not a Dynojet. I'm going to run it on a DJ, but add an honest 60-80 to each of those numbers, thats almost 650rwhp and 700 torque.
Talked to a buddy who was at the shop, they seemed pretty excited. Pump gas and it blew the tires off until they restrapped it to the dyno, this is a double roller unit!
Pump gas, T37s, 18psi...that seems high, awefully high. I have a crimped mid pipe, that may lead to alot of backpressure...need to fix that ASAP.
Ridiculous amounts of fuel and hardly any timing at all, super safe tune. Aggressive tune, race gas and an easy 100-125rwhp more.
Clutch held great, no problems.
Anyone want to buy it
[Edited for numbers...seems the guy at the shop was a little confused on his numbers, mixed up the torque and HP, remembered the torque was higher and added it up on his own...]

It looks like Harlan may have some competition.

Harlan will always make more power, can't compete with a guy who builds motors in his kitchen He's more willing to break things. I was like that 2 years ago, now I just want to drive it.
After a test drive I'll probably turn it down to something that will hook up on the street...maybe...we'll see.
But now its complete, every little last detail has been ironed out, now it just needs a good wet sand and a For Sale sign.
Did alot to the car I didn't need to, iron block, Hals, etc...for a race car it was a good idea, for a street car its not a bad idea, but for a street car its also not a neccessity.
Sell it completed making good reliable power and buy a C5. No rear end to buy, no suspension.
Single turbo, clutch and make 500rwhp on a stock motor. If I can turn around the Camaro soon enough I'll pull the motor and build a light motor. stock crank, good rods/pistons, a nice light Stage I head with good valves, quite non-super wazoo cam.
Make 535rwhp in a 3200lb C5 that can be driven daily like the Camaro, will be faster because of the weight difference and a better driver all the way around...don't think it will hook up as well, no good DR's for the C5 available.
I'll do it right next time, didn't do it wrong this time, in fact I did it too right, invested in alot of things I may not have needed but I originally was going to drag race the hell out of the car.
So, anyone want to buy it, its only a Turbo 400 away from 9's most likely. If it went 128 with 535rwhp on the same dyno imagine what it will go with 574...nice stall converter, trans brake, G suit

I hope you find the right owner that knows how to maintain a FI Turbo car.
You going FI on the C5??

I wonder what mine weighs now with the stereo and minor soundproofing..

Great numbers for sure.
18 psig?? seems like alot for those numbers to me, but on 8.7:1 dunno. I'm hoping to run within the next few weeks. Finally got my injectors and intercooler core.
So well have to do a dyno shoot out or something
I think i have a dyno graph you can borrow w/ 600+ RWTQ by 3800
hehehe
I'd watch turning it up much more on the 42's, there's not much more room with them

Vince is wondering how to build the motor, build it like Harlan is, and how I plan on building the next one. Spent money on good rods/pistons and valves, forget all the super whammy stuff, just force the air in
Rob Raymer is doing a LS1 Single turbo for the C5 once the F-body kit ships, that is my plan as of right now.

He had the torque mixed up with HP, then thought well it made more torque than HP so he added to the HP number when I asked him the torque...the shop called me this morning and gave me the real story.
574rwhp
613rwtq
I had thought this morning about the numbers he gave me last night thinking they were awefully good for a LS1 intake, now this makes more sense.
Eitherway, any more power and I look at head gasket issues. 11.5 A/F ratio steady across the graph and only 17 degree's of timing at the top end.
Didn't get out to drive it, had them fax over a sheet. Will pick it up on Monday.
