Default my new boosted engine set up

well, think i've got the jist of my new engine setup down. ive decided to stop worring if the stock bottom will last.
Im going with JE pistions dished -10cc, with eagel forged rods. Im gonna use the cometic HP gasket (.057"), with my mildly ported 6.0 heads with about a 69cc chamber.
this combo should bring my CR to 8.88:1 ish
the rod-piston-rings etc. combo is about $1300. not sure yet on the racer bearings, gaskets about $200, the arp head studs $215
labor is gonna suck, i told my mechanic the im gonna end up putting his kids through college.

I hope ill now be in the Big boy range, since i sould have enough fuel to push it to about 550-600 rwhp, i just wount be able to get any super low times, cause i dont want to put slicks on my stock rear.
still got a lot more to spend, got to get a rear, ls6 intake, and a few more tricks up my sleve.

I talked to Jim at turbotech yesterday and he said they are going to try and work on a 3" downpipe setup next week as they have an install to do. Until this is done, we are very limited.
Sounds like a good deal with rods-rings etc. I think the rods are unnecessary at 5-600 rwhp tho.

I hate to be a downer but we HAVE to get a 3" downpipe. You can only flow so much thru a 2.5" downpipe. I just installed a ls6 intake and need to go dyno and see if it helped. The hp curve feels a little flatter on the top end rather than peaky but exhaust is where its at! Please call turbotech and tell them you want a 3"...maybe it will help motivate them. I'dpost my dyno results but they were very disappointing. I have a good tune but we could clearly see the exhaust bottleneck....

I haI I have to calll them anyway today to get a different wastegate spring. Ill nag them about getting a 3" DP.
Ive also be bothered by the cross over. I think that is a mojor restriction also.. I have a plan on that, im gonna have the shop take a 2.5-2.75 pipe and just go around the tranny (m6). this would be alot less restictive then going around the front of the engine though that small 2". I know know i cant lower it haha. i might have the pipe slightly flattened depending on ground clearance. I hope ill have enough ground clearace, we'll find out once it gets back together.

Exactly...after the downpipe i will look at the crossover. Remember tho...the crossover goes into a 2" or whatever size log...ithink the shorter run would definitely help tho.

i plan to keep it the same diameter (2.5-2.75") from the factory header connecting to the turbotech header.
Called Turbo tech and they wanted to rape me on a wastegate spring $40, i dont think so ive seen it for $14.
anyways i ask about the downpipe and they think thell have it done by fallish.
