Fuel Injector Flow Rating Help Needed...
I want to up-date the fuel injector constant on my C5 after the Procharger install with the supplied 38 lb fuel injectors.
The box that the injectors came in were ACDelco part number 217-1389 and GR. 3.300.
Can anyone out there tell me what's the flow rating of these injectors and at what pressure?
The response I got from ATI was that they are 38 lbs at the C5 fuel pressure, what ever that means! If this is true then that means they are really only ~33 lb injectors at 3.0 bar? (43.5 psi)
ACDelco said they will not give out that kind of info to the public...
Can some one out there help me? What's the flow rate and pressure of the Fuel Injectors that came with my Procharger?
Tnaks,

Re: Fuel Injector Flow Rating Help Needed...
i got some info and friendly help from a company called rcengeniering.
http://www.rceng.com/technical.htm
i gave them some part numbers and they looked them up, they also set me up with some injectors for my truck that were bigger than anyone else could find.

Re: Fuel Injector Flow Rating Help Needed...
I just got off the phone with John there at RC Engineering (Very nice people there) but they didn't have this injector in their data base.
Anyone else?
Thanks,

Re: Fuel Injector Flow Rating Help Needed...
well, since no one else is chiming in i will tell you what i did.
i did a flow test of my own, i have a fuel presure gauge that comes right off off the schrader valve, i used an adapter to go from this to a piece of fuel line about 10' long, then i streched the fuel line over the end of an injector with a hose clamp, then i applied 12v to the injector with the truck running. i let the injector flow into a beaker that has cc on the side(i used a ratio rite, it is normaly used for mixing 2stroke oil in dirtbikes).
i let it flow for exactly one minute and wala, i had the cc/min. it sounds like a pain in the *** but one trip to the hardware store and about 1/2hour i knew exactly how much fuel i am flowing.
on the trucks you have to unhook the vacume line to the presure regulator to simulate full throttle but i guess the cars don't have a regulator.

i think this is what you are looking for. from this spreadsheet of chris b's
http://www.speeddemonmotorsports.com...ectorscale.xls
MAP 0 5 10 15 20 25 30 35 40 45 50 55 60 65 70 75 80
Injector Flow (g/sec) 4.788 4.817840268 4.847496849 4.876973093 4.906272252 4.935397477 4.964351832 4.993138288 5.021759733 5.050218972 5.078518732 5.106661666 5.13465035 5.162487295 5.190174941 5.217715666 5.245111784
this page uses a constant to modify the stock flowrate across the board, little different
http://204.0.73.225/Godspeed/ls1/Injector%20Scaling.htm this make sense?
