PROCHARGER OR VORTECH? WHICH SHOULD I GO WITH AND WHY?? THIS IS GOING ON MY 2000 LS1 Z28 CAMARO AND I HAVE READ SO MUCH ABOUT THEM I CANT DECIDE WHICH IS THE BEST AND WILL PRODUCE THE MOST HP ON MY MOTOR. If you may do things that would require more flow out of the supercharger you might want to go with the ATI. I need more flow so I have to buy the T-trim unit (an additional $3000.00)

Also, you will have to run lines to the oil pan for the SC... it's a longer install.

Re: PROCHARGER OR VORTECH? WHICH SHOULD I GO WITH AND WHY?? Which s/c has the louder whine? The vortech 9#, D, or P series procharger? Im trying to decide which to get and sound is involved with the decision, as max hp is not needed. For a street car more than 9# of boost on our cars is more than enough to make traction fun as Black LS1 TA mentioned in one of his posts with the SY3500. My car would see little track time, maybe a few times a year. Which blower would be better for my situation? Thanks

I dont have the benefits of recording mine for you as Black LS1 TA does but Mine whines real good but only at idle and when moving around in parking lots.Every one notices and says you got a blower on that car?? You cant even hear it while driving around. By the way my car was bone stock when I installed and it dynoed at 419.8rwhp and 403.9rwtq <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" /> .
I do have a WS6 and it I believe has the better exhaust. I do believe however that the Vortech does not clear the Camaro hood though it cleared mine though.

We have only 91 octange gas now <img border="0" title="" alt="[Sad]" src="gr_sad.gif" />
and everything has to be CARB legal <img border="0" alt="[whiner]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_cry.gif" />
