supercharger and nitrous?
Moving to Forced Induction section.
Lingenfelter ran it on his 298mph Firebird back in the days when he did top speed runs...lots of turbocharger guys do it on their intercooler setups to lower temps. But like WIL said...motor has to be built to handle it. On a 'basically stock' LS1, i wouldn't recommend it. Maybe a blower @ first, then upgrade when the $$$ comes in.
Other then that...i would not sugguest you run both nitrous + supercharger on a "basically stock" anything...

I lifted a head doing this with a 50hp shot and Vortech. The car had stock head gaskets. I'll be spraying the same shot with the 409 motor and ATI F1. These heads _should_ stay down

How long have you been running this set up? Any problems, how about the 6 speed? Right now I wouldnt mind running a smaller pulley and getting a LS6 intake. Is this on pump gas?

I run 93 octane. My timing peaks at about 24 degrees. I'm putting some stage III heads and the 02 LS6 cam in this weekend. There has been some debate wether I would gain anything from this. I guess we will see. The power has been down all summer do to the hotter weather. But now that it is cool It is back. I'm also thinking of spaying a 30 shot sneaky peat. Lets see what the bottom end can really hold up to.
OH by the way, my bottom end is stock except for the Katech hard rod bolts.
If you put the smaller pulley and intake on watch your a/f raito. When I put the smaller pulley, intake and headers on. I was running really lean. 14.2:1. But I didn't know it until I dynoed with the wide band. Before the dyno I was shooting oil out of the dipstick tube all over the hood when running it hard and high rpms. I found that I had detonated due to the lean condition. I had broke two pistons middle ring land. Also lifted the heads and blew out the head gasket. Thats when I put the rod bolts and studded the heads. I then put in 50lb injectors and had ed wright tune it. Now I'm running too rich. But have not had any engine problems for about a year now.

Our setup on that day was a 346, Comp cam, Vortech at 6 lbs., 150 dry shot, Moser w/3.73. We're building a bigger motor, much more boost, more NOS, T400, etc. which might run high 8s at sea level.
Steve- Where do I send my fan club application to??
What do you guys think of spraying a 50 shot of nitrous to the intake plus a shot directly on the intercooler(s) just to cool the air more??? Is this possible? I remeber the sy/ty guys would do this to cool their IC.
