I think it's BS. I don't believe for a second that by making the blower inlet hard piped, you'll gain 3 psi, that's garbage, but this winter, just for ***** and giggles, i'll try it, and make my own, for less than 100 bucks, i don't know how they got that high *** price. Even if it is made out of stainless, you've got 50 bucks in the bend, and maybe 20 bucks more in staight tube to make it on either end, weld it up, bang you're done, oh, and the little nipple for the bypass is probably 1 1/2" stainless, 5 bucks for the piece, then weld. These don't have to be anything more than aluminized with a good coat of IPC on them, and they'lll work fine, i don't know where the extra 3.5 psi will come from, maybe the boost fairy will hop her happy *** in my blower, and run like gerbil to speed up compressor speeds <img border="0" alt="[Fluffy]" title="" src="graemlins/fluffy.gif" /> This sounds like a rip off. But if everybody is interested, i'll make them at the shop, as soon as my D-1SC comes back from ATI, and make these as a kit for us, and sell them for half what these guys want.

3psi is a bit exessive of a claim but moving from a flexible tube to a smooth one alot of times is worth some boost. Mustang guys regularly see an increase of 1-1.5psi by installing what they typically call a "powerpipe" on their vortechs.

the powerpipes the mustang guys use are BEFORE the blower.

you might gain 1-1.5 # if this is before.

but only if the stock intake sucks, and colapses under vacuum.
