Paging Ed Potter from LPE!
Ed,
I know in the past you have offered to help out with selling parts people may be missing for their Incon kits.
How about the mechanical oil pump and bracket???
I would KILL to get ahold of one of these and so would alot of people who have played scavenge pump go round.
I just put the car up for the winter and am sure in the spring I'll be sprinkling the driveway with oil while I change the pump, they never last the cold it seems.
Thanks

For a mechanical oil pump just go to razorperformance. www.razorperformance.com they make the pump for lpe, katech, asa use. They made a custom one for Harlan.

Red,
They make the pump but do they make the elusive bracket that LPE designed so it all packages real nice without removing anything?
Thats what I'm looking for.

Re: Paging Ed Potter from LPE!
If you know the dimensions they will make you one (razor), but your right its a lot easier to have someone else measure the location of the two EGR mounting holes (or similar). I decided to go with a weldon electric, since rumor was that lpe switched to a different pump. The pumps need rebuilding quite often so it was not a option for me.

Re: Paging Ed Potter from LPE!
Hi Guys -
Let me try to clear a few things up on the scavange pumps.
We originally used the Incon supplied pump, which did not have hard anodized pieces. those pumps eventually wore themselves out! we ended up making our own pumps to the same specs, and all of the pieces are hardened to ensure long pump life. We make everything here for the pump, including the bracket & pulley.
The Razor pumps are a totally different pump, used as a scavenge pump in a dry sump oiling system for ASA engines.
I would be happy to fix you guys up with a pump & bracket, just let me figure out a price, and make sure it will fit the F-body as is.

Re: Paging Ed Potter from LPE!
Ed,
Incredible!
That would be awesome. Where does the pump mount?
The F-body pump mounts under the front bumper support dead center, I'd need to source some new hoses but to finally be done with the oil pump problem would be awesome.
Thanks!

NoOne -
Our pump mounts to the drivers side cylinder head, and runs off of the factory serpentine belt. We do run a longer belt, and can supply the belt #. you will need to run your own lines, we usually bend hard lines that run from the factory oil galley in the block, and then down to the scavenge tanks. I'm still trying to figure out a price, since we've never sold them out the door.
I'll post as soon as I have it.

Re: Paging Ed Potter from LPE!
I almost did not look at this because of the topic.
Damn, NoOne, nice idea. And you're right about the cold. I was just about to order another diaphram in anticipation.
And driven off of the serpentine belt! Beautiful.

Just a couple things to be aware of...
Due to locations of the accessories on the F-body, the driverside head is not an option. Our power steering is in the way. The pass. side head w/ replacement of the tensioner is a better choice.
Second, the placement of the belt path is different from f-body to y-body. IE front of cover to belt centerline distance is different.
Say hi to Jayson for me <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

Re: Paging Ed Potter from LPE!
sounds like we need to do a little R&D to make the pump fit an F-body, but that's no big deal. We definately want to sell you guys pumps, so if we need to make a different bracket, we will. I will round up an engine with F-body front dress, and start figureing out what we need to do.
I'll pass the message on to Jason

Re: Paging Ed Potter from LPE!
I was just talking with one of our engineers, and it looks like we can make a different spacer, and we will be able to use this pump an f-bodies.
I had the location wrong before, the pump actually bolts to the block, just below the front of the drivers side head.
give me a couple more days, and we will have a prototype that I can post a picture of.

Sweet Ed!
I think everyone with an Incon kit would buy one, if not now when they get tired of replacing pumps, because if it hasn't, it WILL die sooner or later.
Thanks again
