Default Experienced ATI users answer here

OK, I am lookng at getting an ATI, either the P1sc or D1. I wan tto eventually run more boost (right, I said more cuase unsure of how much). I am trying to pick between the two, but my near term goal is to get into the 10's. rest of mods in sig. what i need to know, is:
1) With either kit what fuel system is best suited, type of pump, and line changes if necesary.

2) Injectors, or other additional items not included in tuner kit/ stall convertors, etc...

3) best way to get the tuning done, wideband w/ LS1 Edit, Ed Wright tuning or what? Plus with out the tuning will the car run good enoug to get to a shop for wideband / regular dyno tuning?

4) whatever info you can provide me would be much appreciated....TIA.

Charlie.

Get all your questions answered by the guys that have been doing what you are about to do: Golden West Performance (303) 346-5232.

They got me in the 10's.

Black LS1, thanks. I would also like to hear form people using an ATI, preferably on mostly stock LS1 engines, or mods listed with performance. What boost are you running with the 10.9 pass? what head unit, and with heads and cam or just blower and LS1? TIA.

I am defienlty getting a D-1sC around the first part of next year, I got a hell of a deal offered to me on one...

What kind of ET pickups can I expect with this..

I'm currently running 11.60s, probably an 11.5 or 11.4 if I went again...at 117.5

Any guesses?

If the car's suspension is setup right, it looks like you have a definite 10 oh car, probably a 9 if you get it all dialed in, surely w/o a problem, looks like you got everything already setup to go to the single digit zone. Have fun, once you drive a f/i car, you'll wonder why you didn't start out there.

Jay

SNAX, I mostly ran the 8th mile track when I was N/A.
I never got to run the 1/4 mile before my SY3500, that I recall.

I went to the 1/4 mile track once and had limited access to 1/4 - mile runs that day (they were doing 8th mile runs for the big boys )

My best time was 13.02 @ something like 106 MPH ( I can't find the time slip, and I don't remember the trap speed, though I remember the ET well, because I wanted more runs to try to hit the 12's and they would not give them to me. )

I can be more precise about the 8th mile, since I did that quite a bit.

1/8th-Mile Times BEFORE Stall:
2.05 60'
8.75 E.T.
81.16 MPH

1/8th-Mile Times AFTER Stall and Nittos:
1.86 60'
8.47 E.T.
81.39 MPH

1/8th-Mile Times AFTER ATI/GWP D-1SC Procharger:
(Track with POOR track prep)
1.78 60'
7.79 E.T.
89.21 MPH!

1/4th-Mile Times AFTER ATI/GWP Procharger:
(Track with GOOD track prep)
1.72 60'
4.93 330'
7.63 1/8 ET
91.00 1/8 MPH
11.92 1/4 ET
115.32 1/4 MPH

Notice the difference GOOD track prep made in the 8th mile... I'm sure it impacted my 1/4 mile times.

I got this after BFG's, upgrading to 42# injectors, changing the tune, LCA's/Reloc Brackets and Adj Tq arm:
1.65 60'
4.60 330'
7.07 1/8 ET
99.49 1/8 MPH
10.98 1/4 ET
125.83 1/4 MPH

This was may FASTAEST time and the ET and MPH were more typical for the runs mad that night:
1.76 60'
4.73 330'
7.20 1/8 ET
99.51 1/8 MPH
11.11 1/4 ET
126.05 1/4 MPH

Very low 11's were my repeatable ET's, though the 10.98 ET was my absolute best.

Hope that helps!

OK, can anyone tell me with the ATI-D1SC what fuel pumps are being run, resize of fuel line, injector options, and all the little stuff I may not be mentioning? I know, GWP. But, someone has had to have asked about what is being put into their car. I simply cannot have GWP fly down here to put this puppy in, I do plan on self install, and pay for tuning. Once instaled, without tuning will it run well enough to drive to the tuners (I am on an island so it can only be like 20 miles), without burning something up or what not?

I understand your input and appreciate it, but I would like to know what else, what pumps and ****, I think I can get the add-ons cheaper-hello. TIA.

Charlie.

I am going to just start off running an 255L inline pump, they say they can support 550rwhp, and I am going to throw it on the dyno with the D-1sc in the spring, if on the dyno it looks like I'm not getting enough fuel, I am going to do an intank 340
