Re: Record for FI Dyno #'s? ooh boy, before 10 people respond (cuz ill get kicked off for sure) put me at 424horse! and i think you should include boost level or some other info like supercharger/single/twin etc.

If you want to talk most power from a FI setup, how about Lingenfelter's 8.xx vette? Ed, what did that dyno? One of the owners of Xtreme motorsports in Phoenix AZ has a 427TTi...the setup was originally the 350 TTi from Lingenfelter. I'm not sure who built the 427. NEway, it put down 8XXrwhp/tq. The car is sick.

Re: Record for FI Dyno #'s? harlen is my hero and i would love to do what he is doing but the hole mustang vs dynojet thing has me wondering. i have read in more than one place that a mustang might just read higher than a dynojet for a vehicle that needs a load on it to produce horse power(turbo engines), anyone have any experience here?

Re: Record for FI Dyno #'s? Our car made 699RWHP with a D1 @ 15lbs of boost. With 10lbs. and a 100 Shot, it made 722 RWHP.
We put in a smaller cam, 83lb. injectors, and an impedence converter, the car made 20lbs, put the torque converter seems to be wasted. We were shooting for 750+.

Re: Record for FI Dyno #'s? As far as I'm concerned dyno numbers don't mean anything. Don't get me wrong, the dyno is an invaluable tool for tuning and getting the most out of a particular setup. But on the other hand, there is too much variance between dyno's let alone the dynojet vs. mustang dyno. Then you have to factor in all the dyno tricks. This just sounds like a recipe to create some bad blood. IMO

Re: Record for FI Dyno #'s? As for as the mustang vs dynojet cablebandit went to a mustang and a dynojet with same fuel same temp and same weight only 100 miles apart 53 hp more on dynojet.
Re: Record for FI Dyno #'s? Scott, interested in the outcome. Getting a porcharger D myself and gonna have Julio do the dyno tune. I was debating between his heads and cam set up or the charger...guess I can do the heads later! Let us know!

Re: Record for FI Dyno #'s? Speed Inc what size motor do you guys have in that car? I remember reading a 414ci.. Maybe I am missing something but Harlan made 700rwhp on 15psi of boost out of a 346ci. Is a SC'd car that inefficient..? You ran 15lbs of boost as well on a bigger motor..

What tom failed to mention was that 15 psi was at 4200 RPM, we ran out of fuel and had to shut it down.
And we tosted the conver on what should have been a soild 800+ Run.
We have a new game plan and should be having some new numbers in late Jan. (we are moving in Jan. so that is going to take up alot of time).
