ATI tuner question
ATI tuner question I just purchased a new 7lb pulley for my P1SC and some 42lb injectors. The guy that I purchased it from recommended a tuner from ATI. Is the tuner worth getting? What does it do? Is it like HPP3? Anybody have some imput on this? Thanks
Re: ATI tuner question How did it mess up your tuning? Was A/F mixture ok? I know LS1 edit is far better, and mail order tuners are the best, but when you say messed up, messed up how?
Re: ATI tuner question lots of things, to start off the timing was never touched! i was seeing ~35 deg at wot!i told them what i wanted and i got this: fan settings were not changed, they messed up my rear end ratio, revlimiter was set to stock to name a few.
plus it is soooo much easier to tune using the laptop as opposed to sending the microtuner unit out to get it reprogramed ( takes for ever and then you find out they did nothing!).

Re: ATI tuner question i'd really consider getting ls1edit. you could fine tune the car anytime you want.
i'm not a big fan of mail order tuning, i got mine with the kit and the tunning was all messed up!
i just got edit and was happey ever since!

Re: ATI tuner question It's not just that simple to buy LS1-Edit. You have to know what you are doing, especially on a FI car. I've helped tune a few heads/cam combo's with Edit but if I go to FI I will have someone do my tuning.

Re: ATI tuner question My car was just high 420's out of the box installed, and pinging like crazy. With LS1Edit, we got it to 462rwhp on 91 gas, with zero KR. Tuning is the difference!
