does a gt47(88mm) really spool faster than a pt88?

No we haven't, and probably won't. What holds the PT88 back is not the wheels, its the housing. The compressor cover simply can't flow anymore air. Stick those same wheels in the GT47 chassis and it will throw down 1400+.

From what I have gleaned, the GT47/88 will make over 1400. and the PTE88 (both with the T6 flange) should make close to that...
I'm still not clear on the distinct differences. The PTE88 uses old technology and an older design turbine wheel.

my front end is stock and the rear just blew up a little while back so i put an eaton carrier in there. other than the eaton in the rear they are completely stock.

and how much is the newer gt47??
I have one of the GT42's and I dont know how it compares exterior dimension wise to the gt47, but it is a freaking huge turbo on the outside.
very impressive lookin, kinda hard to fit around, but can be done as proved by Hi-Flo, Stenod, and others

That is correct. We are working with some NMRA and FFW DR cars that are running the GT47 with small 330-360ci engines and they are running 22-25psi of boost which is max on the unit with an 85mm-88mm on those engines. The backpressure is reaching 50+psi which is dang high. We are working on some new wheels for the GT47 to help drop the backpressure a good bit.

I put my gt42 next to my friend's gt47. The size difference is huge! Almost as must as the pic between the pte and the gt47.
