Talking Preliminary Dyno numbers on "The Beast" Dyno graph inside

Ok, this is what we got as basic info:

gt55 turbo
408 stroker 8.5 CR
3:42 rear gears in strange 12 bolt

Here is some further information I was emailed just 5 minutes ago:

Had to put the graph in speed due the tires spining

This is in RPM,but shows the tire slippage.

I will make some video tomorrow.

Alan here is one of the baseline pulls in 3RD GEAR so far. Trying to be easy
on the clutch ! This is the 2nd full throttle pull on the complete
car\tuning.

12.0 lbs boost 93 octane 13 deg timing 10.8-11.5 A\F for now.

spool up starts about 3600 and full boost by 4100 RPM.

Ok, so keep in mind both these graphs that are in 3RD gear.

The numbers posted are not 100% accurate as the tires are spinning and he has already blown 2 clutches.

The first dyno screen shot is of hp vs. mph

This graph is hp vs. rpm

The last bit of information I was given was that the only 4th gear pull he could do was a pull of 481 rwhp and 611 rwtq at 4100 rpm, then the engine would free rev since the clutch would no longer hold.

If you compare the differences in 3rd/4th gear, thats about 120 rwhp and 150 rwtq difference.

This is the baseline tune with SD 3 bar tune. This is also on stock pcm, meaning no bs3 etc...

No pictures as of yet, other then the ones i have already posted.

However soon as I get some video footage it will be uploaded here right away.

I know im not gonna be paying for the clutch, i think he just underestimated how strong the tq comes in. Im sure he has something worked out with Ram and they can use it as a write off for R & D.

I definately want a 6 speed as it will be a fun car and I enjoy shifting. Auto would be more consistant and would still hold the power, but I want to keep it as versitile as possible.

ya, ive been telling everyone at work. most of them are like "wtf does that mean? i dont care about car ****"

but its ok, cause i sure as hell know what this means.

I dont know how soon he will get a video back though because if this is his second clutch he blew, he will prob wait till the other clutch goes in to get some footage.

Post pictures of it on the ground and all buttoned up.

A nice twin disk should hold that I would think. Get one in there and do a pull on 93 and a pull on 110.

Also, this is good info on turbo size and what not. On a dynojet with less load than on the street you are seeing boost at 3600 with a ******* HUGE turbo. That's pretty good if you ask me. It will be lower on the street.

what would you estimate it to start boosting at on the street?

He told me he is gonna do 3 different runs.

1 with pump gas, 1 with half race fuel/ half pump, and 1 with all out race fuel.

We have a gas station around the corner that sells 101 unleaded, so I wanna try to get the median boost numbers on that if its possible.

awesome power, i'm taking its a pump gas tune?

Sooner or later you'll get sick of replacing clutches, plus they get hella expensive.

I vote 4L80e too!

He will be setting up my tune for 3 seperate boost levels'.

1. 91 oct ( currently tune at 93, but will pull timing or do something to make it more conservative so it will run flawlessly. 12 lbs of boost(minimum wastegate allows)

2. 101 oct this will be my middle boost setting, which will be running 14-17 lbs of boost. They have a local exxon/mobil here that they have 101 unleaded at the pumps a few miles away.

3. c16 fuel. anywhere from 18-22 lbs of boost. I doubt i will really use this very often, however you never know.
