Those of you with Fuel Pressure Gauges.
So how do you guys have yor sending units mounted?
Thanks guys,
Mike
you of course do have to remove the valve from your rail as well.
I guess I'm getting a little confused here. Which port are you guys tapping into to get fuel pressure? ie where specifically are you attaching your sender unit? On the fuel lines there is a port with a green cap which is labels evap port or something to that effect. There's the port on the drivers side fuel rail. It looks like a tire valve. Am I supposed to rip that valve out???
The sender unit I was sent looks sort of like a schrader valve on the one end. The threading on the outside is identical. But on the inside it is solid and has a small hole in the middle for the fuel to travel. No valve setup like what is found on the fuel rail schrader valve.
I'd like to find a way not to clutter up my engine even more if that's possible. But beggers can't be choosers

Just use a tire valve stem remover to take out the schrader valve...
Also, if I remember correctly, isnt the fuel rail like a -4AN and most sending units are 1/8" NPT.. So look for one of those unions..
P.S. dont buy the Schrader Tee from LS1Speen Inc.. its a POS

I have the exact gauge on my car. I hooked it to the end of the fuel rail with two brass adapters. You need a -4 to 1/8 npt male, then a male to male 1/8 npt adapter. it sticks out a little ways, but it is worth it. That gauge rocks!
