Another 42# injector question.....
Another 42# injector question..... I have just installed a 7# pulley (P1SC) and tried to install 42# svo injectors. When I was done my car felt as if there was a big vacuum leak; I even sprayed carb cleaner on the injectors and the idel went back to normal for a few seconds. Can you put 42#er's in and it run some what right? Or is it a must to immediately tune your computer? Any help would be great.
Re: Another 42# injector question..... look at it this way....our stock injectors are 26/28# at 58psi of fuel pressure. The svo42# are rated at like 43psi of fp (yes I could be wrong about the exact figure) At 58 psi, the 42#ers are more like 49# injectors. A SIGNIFICANT increase over stock. You cannot just throw them in and drive. a MAFT may make it driveable but it will still suck until you get it tuned
