just wondering if you liked staying with the stick instead of doing an auto

what kind of boost do you lose between shifts?

I like driving stick shift, but got tired of the 99¢ hydraulic system and the fact I kept having endless clutch problems. Most likely due to the fact that spec produces pure junk.

I gave up and sold the t56 and purchased a th400, it's a bit less streetable, but my car will be about 1 sec faster in the 1/4 and I won't have to pull the tranny once a month due to some shitty clutch/slave.

yeah im gettting ready to switch setup's over to the FI side and was just wondering about track launching and the loss of boost between shifts.

i know auto's are faster but i would like to see how far i can take a t56 (whether it ends up proshifted or not)

although i am fighting a hydrolic problem right now my self

If u get the right stuff there is no boost loss and it can be nearly as fast. And u get to keep ur ***** and not have a auto. LOL. Perfect example.

I know it aint a LS1 btu same principle. I dont think he would gain much more then a tenth or 2 with a auto. GL

simple-
guys shift, girls put the car in drive.
Shifting puts you at one with the car, on the street there is nothing better then having the perfect gear for a particular section of road.
Sure you’re a second faster at the track. oooo I put the car in drive and hold the pedal down. Guess what my girlfriend can get in your car at the track and run the same number as you. Lets see her try to shift the thing like it’s a dirt bike to run a good number.
OK just bustin *****......
Bottom line - get a auto if your going to drag all the time, get a 6 if you going to drive all the time.

Also unless your running 9's or better; drag racing is boring with an auto. Shifting gives you something to do for 10 seconds......... watch the tack, jam some gears at just the right time, fun, fun, fun. With the auto it’s all in the launch, after that its just like driving down any other straight road.
At 9's at least your concentrating on staying off the back bumper on launch, and not braking the tires loose at a buck and a half.

Mighty Mouse is in the 9's, TTI race Kit 6 speed, mecham TA has almost the same setup with a 6 speed, I don't know if he has run his car yet, but im sure he'll be in the 9's as well. There is a sick TT LT1 6 speed on here, INTMD8 I think is his name, that car flies! There are a few out there, but your probably right, more nitrous then boost. I can't wait to get back into another fast car, hopefully an LSX car, im deffinitely turboing my car, and it's going to be 6 speed.

I was leaning on going auto on this TT 402 project, but now I think I'll stick it out with the T56 for a while and see what happens.
