Default LS1 T Trim Kit and Z28 HOOD Options

What hoods will a T Trim kit fit under? Apparently NOT a stock Z28 hood or SS style hood.

Is ANYONE running a T Trim on an LS1 Z28? If so, what hood are you using?

I would think RMCR would have a source for either a hood or an alternate bracket but maybe that's not the case.... <img border="0" title="" alt="[Frown]" src="gr_sad.gif" />

I'm not sure how it would fit under a stock or SS hood, Mark at RMCR should know. I have a DG Motorsports big block hood, It was extensively hacked up for the original Vortech I had. I did not have to make any other hood modifications to fit the T-Trim. Mark said that the t-trim sits about an eighth inch higher than the T-Trim. Overall, the new setup seems to fit better than the original Vortech setup.

There is not much fabrication to fit the T-Trim kit, the brackets bolt right up, I had a small clearance problem with my Holley intake, but nothing serious. You swap around a few of the original parts with the new supplied parts, thats basically it. You may have to move the driver side hood strut over about an inch, due to the intake pipe moving over slightly. There should be some pics at my website above that should give you some idea of what's involved.
