Default Vortech YS-trim

Based on my site searches, no one appears to be using the Vortech YS-trim, except me. And, yes, it will fit under hood.

Do you have some dyno numbers, etc.? I notice you are in Colo, did you have your work done at RMCR?

Will have Mustang dyno numbers within two weeks. We fab'd the head unit bracket ourselves, as RMCR wants $1,500 for their T-trim bracket and they do not make a YS trim bracket anyway.

PS - It just occurred to me that I will never make it out of the LS1tech.com staging lane!

You guys already know the story behind why the car is not up and running; it always takes longer than you plan for. Nevertheless, we plan to have it on the dyno by Sunday, March 23 and will take it to Dallas on April 5 for NHRA chassis inspection and licensing runs. Will post pics ASAP, unless I forget.

I bought all the parts and Dragon Race Engineering is building the car.

Is the blower on and running?

Did you fab up an intercooler?

Sounds like we are doing similar intercoolers, how many cores are you using? I plan to go custom but I have seen a Viper intercooler that might be big enough for our needs. Where are you putting the tank?

We are going to have the brackets made from 3/8's plate.

Care to talk about how you plan to mount it all?

We are planning to mount the YS on the driver's side with a custom bracket. We are using a straight discharge blower. We are doing a nose mounted intercooler and it will be air to water.

We are mounting the blower on the passenger's side with a custom bracket. We are using a 90 degree discharge blower and are mounting the air to water aftercooler (filled with ice) in front of the radiator.
