Compression check came back - burning oil
Well my compression checked out ok. I think it was 150 across the board.
I'm getting lot of oil in my intake still, so i still could be my pvc system, filter doesnt seem to be doing its job. I went to the breather system again, so last time i might have not left it unhooked long enough to burn up all the oil in the intake. How long do you think it will take to clean out the system, i used seafoam last time, not sure if that would clean out all the oil.
My next plan for my pvc system is to take the vent hoses route them to my catch can then attach my vacuum pump to my catch can, so i always have a vacuum on it.
I hope to get all the oil out soon so i can have it tuned to 12psi. Im hoping its not the oil rings, since those dont show up on the compression test.
I'll be getting a leak down done on the drivers side hopefully this week when the car gets back together, hopefully it all checks out ok so I can take it home... <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />
Im just not sure on ditching the pvc system all together, cause you'll get blowby which will cause you to burn oil. so im hooking up a vacuum pump to pull a vacuum on the crank case all the time.

My pvc hose has oil making it past the filter. But im not sure that could cause i quart to burn up for 500-800 miles.
My plugs check out ok, ofcoarse oil was distributed evenly amoungst them.
My catch can came yesterday, so I'll be rigging my new pvc system this weekend. Hopefully the constant vacuum will stop the blowby if thats what it is.

I thought a probable cause for me blowing a head gasket might of been the oil getting into the combustion chamber....lowering the octane level..
Also i think all this burnt oil i ruining my o2's they keep setting my SES light on.
