Just how rice say boost, in their slang g-dog speak.
I don't know much about turbos, but I got a question. Due to my current location, alot of the local people I hang out with all drive japanese cars. Some of the cars, all I can say is @#$%. Any way what is bar? The guy a usually ride with says he pulls 2.2 bar for a few races, but usually stays around 1.7, I have no idea what he is talking about. Thanks in advance

A Bar (barometric pressure) is defined as one atmosphere, generally accepted as 14.7 PSI at sea level. I am not sure, though, if your friend considers one Bar as zero intake pressure (one standard atmosphere, under which we all live), or 14.7 PSI of intake pressure (actually two atmospheres). The difference is 2.2 Bar = 32 PSI or around 17.6 PSI. If it is the former, I'd like to know how he keeps his engine together...

1 bar = 14.50326 psi
1 psi = 6.8948 KPa
The 3 readings you may see out there are the above. KPa, bar and psi.
So he's running about 17.857172PSI since you have to subtract one atmosphere for the normal pressure of the earth.
