Default TByrne Motorsports - AOK!!

In light of some recent bad publicity of some of our sponsors, I feel obligated to let everyone know that TByrne has provided me exceptional customer service with my Vortech V9 kit. Though I've never actually spoken with the owner himself (T. Byrne - does he really exist?), the young ladies who I've dealt with over the phone were very polite, they always returned my calls, and ALL of my stuff arrived on time, in one big box, with NO complications whatsoever. Even when I asked for help to upgrade the pulley system for more boost, they took the liberty to call Vortech and check on every last piece that I would need to upgrade. I didn't have to do a thing except pick up the phone and place my order. The Superchips programmer was not late either. I sent the form in, and the programmer was here in a week. All this, not to mention I got a KILLER deal on the blower itself. I went to a local dealer to see if he could beat TByrne's price, and he almost flipped out when he saw how cheap I was getting the kit for.

Anyway, my kit is installed now, aftercooler and all. Now we are having problems with my Moser rear-end chewing up a set of brand new gears for lunch every couple of weeks, but that's another issue.

I know this will probably get moved to Buyer/Seller feedback, but I wanted to post it here since we FI dudes seem to have a tougher time getting our blowers/turbos up and running smoothly.

If you want a blower, and you want it delivered this century, with NO issues, call TByrne (and if you actually talk to the man himself, tell him I said thanx.)

Randy.

Randy,

Congrats on the V9. I'd highly recommend you get your car dynotuned and not put a lot of faith in the superchips tuner.. Just some friendly advice!

"The only modifications that this tuner kit accounts for are aftermarket shorty-style headers and an aftermarket cat-back exhaust system. Using aftermarket heads and/or camshafts or other engine modifications with this tuner can cause serious engine damage. For internal engine modifications, have your PCM programmed by a custom tuner. Superchips does not provide this level of tuning in-house."

That's all I needed to hear!
Seriously, though, I have a local F-body shop with LS1-edit that will do the tuning on a Dynojet. But its kind of hard to do that when my brand new Moser rear-end won't cooperate.

Yeah another thumbs up for Tbyrne. I actually did get to talk with Tom when I ordered my ATI tuner kit and strange 12-bolt. They were very helpful and upfront about any delays or issues that arose. After hearing about the problems at GWP, it makes me sooooo glad I went with Tbyrne.

My car is basically stock. My tuner ran a baseline with the superchips programming and surprisingly enough it had plenty of Fuel. Good A/F ratio of about 11.5 to 12.0 but the timing was way off.

I definitely felt better going with a pro to tune my car properly. Peace of mind is worth paying for IMHO.
