Cogs are not going to happen at this time, that is not the approach. Car should make 20 lbs of boost with a properly set up 8 rib setup. Our custom tensioner setup should not be difficult to use it won't be like using a drive ratchet and a 6 foot breaker bar.

Ok Kevin <img border="0" title="" alt="[Razz]" src="gr_images/icons/tongue.gif" /> I won't say anything else about cogs then. I just think it might be a little easier on the stock crank considering it's also going to be putting up with alot of HP. <img border="0" alt="[burn out]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_burnout.gif" /> <img border="0" alt="[driving]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_driving3.gif" />

Damn, we hijacked this thread. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="gr_eek2.gif" /> <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

Anyone know the stock tension of Vortech and ATI D1 kits?

I'm shooting for a number above 200 ft lbs as an FYI, I'll share more info on this secondary issue once we get it all in the car... </strong></font><hr /></blockquote><font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Some puleys don't require that much tension. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />

OBTW. I have a friend who owned his own machine shop. He still has the lathe in his garage, which I wired into his service (I'm a EE). He said he would do a set of custom cogs made out of billet unobtanium for $1500. He'd even throw in the shipping... <img border="0" title="" alt="[Razz]" src="gr_images/icons/tongue.gif" />

SC-

That is all.
