I plan to run 12psi on 93 octane, then when I get more $, I will do more fuel, and run 15-16 psi on race gas.... <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />
It was nice meeting you too, if I would of ran the 348 I would of also done 12psi on pump gas...just would of made less power..
I should make around 600rwhp... <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

psj I disrespectfully disagree. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Razz]" src="gr_images/icons/tongue.gif" />
I still think the intake restriction should be taken into account when choosing a cam. Also, these peoples opinoins on cam specs, is their experience based off of roots type blowers or centrifugal blowers? These superchargers work entirely different.
Whatever, its bossmans car and hell do what ever he wants. Good luck to the both of you.

Well I would do the iron block but,it would take me out of the bracket of competition of 346 to 348 class. If I would be in the strocker class I would do at least 383. Plus I like the sound of having a block that with the car. Ill be shooting for 600rwhp also. It should be intresting between both are choices. First I have to get used too the 500+ rwhp. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

the intake is PART of the restriction, but the exhaust is a big one too. The reason why you want a split duration with more duration on the exhaust side is that the exhaust cannot expel all the burnt gases from the chamber in a pressurized state too efficiently, so you hang the exhaust valve open for more duration to get as much out as possible before the next combustion event in the chamber.

I'm defiently going to do a 6 degree split, and it will be more on the exhaust side...just not sure how big into the duration I want to go, I want the peak shift points to be right around 6700-6800
Something on a 114lsa....and as for duration/lift, I'm clueless as to what would be good for a 372

Yes, the car will be driven on the street everyday probably when its nice out...
Well the only smog test they do here in illinois is the OBD2 scan, if I pass that then I'm gravy, if I don't then they put me on the rollers...
But last time I plugges in a scanner, the only codes I had was a clutch code, and an A/C code, which probably wouldn't cause me to fail...
