turbo users with ported oil pump help!
tell me about your oiling situations.. good and bad with any turbo kit.
please describe how the pressure and return lines run as delivered in the kit and any mods you have done/plan to do to them.
also, have you had your turbo rebuilt and how many miles if so? thanks

Re: turbo users with ported oil pump help!
what size jet? the restrictor i have currently is a .042 i think.
i am still thinking the problem was with the ls1m kits original return setup, which is what i'm trying to prove.

I have an ARE oil pump and knock on wood, about 6,000 miles on my kit in the past 5 months and No oil problems, My supply lines are Split to 2 # 4an lines to each turbo and a # 10 return from each turbo to just ubove the oil drain plug. I use 15 50 mobile 1 oil which is so thik my oil press isnt much higher than stok! Like I said, knock on wood, Ive been OK

The shop that did my Incon twins had that same problem. The oil press. was to high (stock)pump. I have a inline restrictor was as a NOS jet! No problems and and still the tilton pump is working!

so i should run a restrictor instead of the 1/4 supply i was told.. AND run an above oil level gravity drain OR sump set up. hmm.. the other post i got going has more details on that.
i wonder what the flow is on that ls1 pressure port we use above the filter at stock psi and say 70 psi... how coul i find that out?>

Depends on the turbo, the type of seals in it, if the turbo has a builtin orifice. Most manufacturer rate there flowrate data in the 30-35 psig range. So our pressures even at idle can be a little high.
