D1SC pulley swap! Glad I did it.
Well, My GTO was making all of its power up top with the D1 blower and cam. So I decided to swap out the pulley. I went from a 4.25" to a 3.85" and what a difference it made! I went to the track the other night with an updated street tune based off of my dyno tune before the pulley swap. I shifted between 6200-6400 and ran my best ET yet.
new best: 11.924 @ 120.72 with a crap 1.991 60ft shifted at ~6300RPMs
previous best: 12.113 @ 118.?? with a 2.05 60ft shifted at ~6900RPMs
previous best mph: 120mph new best mph: 122mph
So I am quite happy. Once we get this thing dialed in with the addition of methanol on the dyno I don't see any reason I shouldn't cut some 11.6s with my crap 60ft times!
So basically I am very happy I did the pulley swap!
