Default Who has the Fastest F-Body using a true STS?

Hey guys... this in NOT an great chance to flame STS. Please keep it to the topic.

I was up at FASTECH till 12:30AM last night (Thanks GUYS!!!) and the subject came up. I know there is a Vette doing 9's with a all custom Rear mount turbo setup. But I would like to know if there are any F-Bodys on TRUE STS setups in the tens?

When I say true STS I mean an STS setup factory or VERY close to factory setup.

Thanks!!!
Jared

There are a couple of GTOs in the 10s. Hopefully there will be a 10 sec truck in the near future.

If you get your mods on, you may be the 1st. I'm don't know of any F-bodies in the 10s.

I'm just waiting on my new motor, and I SHOULD be well into the 10's. We will see.

friend went 6.86@104.7 in the 1/8 on wednesday and then he took the car to the 1/4 on friday but couldnt get any better than 7.0 in the 1/8 with a 10.86@128 in the 1/4 before he got booted. car has stock bottom end with ls6 heads and cam and 1.75 rockers. all runs were made on 18' drag radials. car is also full weight with the exeption of k-member.

hey Longrange4u.... are you lowered? I am seriosuly looking into going with a turbo kit and do not know if i should be looking into the STS kit. Im lowered 2 inches on 18's. How are the problems compared to a front mounted set up? Should i really be giving this kit a shot? What are some advantages/disadvantages of the rear mount? Thanks...... doesnt it make puddles a nightmare also?

I went 11.13 several months ago on the stock longblock. Hope to do better with some modifications I'm currently working on. Of course I'm running 10psi with the 67 turbo.

I am not lowered.... and on 19" wheels. I love my setup and just search STS on the board and you will find TONS of opinions on the advantages/disadvantages... again though I love my setup.... its not for everyone.. but it is for me!

We did an STS Turbo Camaro SS for a customer. With a bad MAF he went 11.20 in the 1/4 mile on his first ever pass down a track! This was at 6 psi of boost. Once we replaced the maf, the rwhp went from 450 to 510 rwhp on my Mustang Chassis Dyno, at 6 psi. This car will easily be in the 10's at 6 psi, hard to say what it will do at the 14 psi high boost setting...
