Well, turbos muffle a good deal of noise themselves.

LOL. I just didnt like the procharger idling. I also had the belt loosen up and wrap itself around the pulley destroying the special seal that only procharger carries. I did find one the same size at a parts store but it was a pain. Procharger wouldnt give me a part #...bastards! they wanted me to send the unit to them and fix it themselves for like $75+.
kinda pissed me off. all for a seal that cost $2.
Id walk before driving a honda. and Elton John USED to rock. Ever since his wrist went limp so did his music.

Someone made a good point in another forum. There are no factory cars with centrifugal blowers. Only a few with roots type, but most blown factory cars are turbo.

Then they must not work at all then and 03-04 Cobra owners don't swap their eatons for centrifugals and walk the dog on the masses.

They don't install tubular headers usually either, they've been proven not to work and they suck at improving efficiency.

Nope 7-8 psi of non-intercooled boast, I mean boost is the HOT ticket to performance with economy.

Right on! There would also be too many lawsuits from people saying the centrifical superchargers on their OEM cars made their cars too fast and that is why they wrecked! Bob

w00t w00t FIGHT THE SYSTEM! lol

Well to contribute. After all my reading. And even after wanting a turbo kit. I've decided I want the D1SC Procharger kit. Because the turbo and bov are cool and all... but a big v8 with LT's, cutouts, and a s/c whine is just so insanely bad *** that I cant turn it down.

This is still going eh.

Until I max out the D1 I'm not switching just yet, I still have about 9K rpm to go on the D1 and then I can still pull off the inlet hat.

That should keep me busy for another season

turbos are fun but if you have a manual they came be a pain to launch.
and if you go turbo id go with a front mount.
Not if you have a 2 step.

I'm just going forced induction for the TA. Almost done with my turbo mustang. #2800 pounds 480rwhp uncorrected(560corrected). Should run into the tens easily at our altitude if the stock T-5 will hold. This is just a street car though. Don't want to beat it up to bad at the track. I'll be out soon, just in a different car. The TA wont be ready till after x-mas. 1st gen block 383 with some Brodix heads and a 76 or 88mm turbo(thumper frame). Should be a fun build. Just built a set of headers for my buddies Sand Rail which has a LS1 init. All the fab stuff, I'll be doing.

Funny you mention LS1 in a sandrail. Got a buddy here at work that builds them and has a friend with an LS1 in a sandrail. This wouldn't happen to be Nosty? What was his name?

Post up when you head out. I'm still in bolt on form but I finally got a real diff. with some 4.30's and drag rims. Hoping its enough to crack 12s at our godforsaken altitude.

We did it at Nosty's house(Matt). It was for Anthony Dicksons Rail. Soon to be turbo'ed. Somthing I would be building. So simple on those things. Anyways, going to go do somemore work on the mustang. Need to mount the intercooler and some interior stuff.

very true, but ya got no traction off the line, and w/o a 12 bolt and a sturdy d'shaft you got probs on the m6 blower car

Um... many turbo cars have full boost off the line, you just gotta know what to do.
