Default Procharger Vs. Turbo

Hey guys, lately I've been looking at supercharging my '99 T/A Vert. So I checked around to see what people thought about what and I came to the decision that the procharger was most preferred. So I was looking at getting the D1SC for my car, but last night I ran into a buddy of mine who is turbo charging his car. He told me that the Procharger is nice, but more power is produced from turbo charging the V-8... I was just wondering from you guys if you would mind letting me know what you would go with and if this guy is right. Thanks guys.

turbo turbo turbo... you can get more hp/tq out of the turbo at sooner rpm's, the potential to more hp/tq in the long run(16psi haha), and looks like theres some good kits coming out for you car now too... w/turbo you can make it sound stock, run stock, get stock gas mileage, then go wot and turn into an animal... aside from that its the fun-factor... nothin beats that spooling turbo letalone that wishing bov coming from an ls1!!!(imo)

HiFlo looks promising, no dyno numbers yet. There is some shops doing custom one off turbo installs too. Stenod does some really nice one offs, lots of racing experience there too. My shop does them too.

with a 13 sec car im not sure you are ready to strap on (pun intended) a SC or a TC...

get your feet wet with some other mods before jumping on the FI wagon and blowing **** up... but thats just my opinion... your money and car... do as you like...

I just sold my sts turbo kit and got a procharger dsc1 so ill let you know.
turbos are fun but if you have a manual they came be a pain to launch.
and if you go turbo id go with a front mount.

Turbo Tech Inc. Street kit IMO the best daily driver turbo kit available. And its not some fly by night outfit, they have been making LS1 kits for over 5 years now.

Procharger's still have a place in the FI market. The new rage is Turbo's over here though. They are fun and give big power in the midrange which ussually blows the tires off. For a daily driver I still prefer a blower

a procharger at only 4 psi yields right around 430 RWHP and is still reliable...and a 8+ psi your looking at 530+ RWHP ...and with a SC on a M6 there is no lag and you have boost right off the line...and for a dual air-to-air intercooled SC system your only looking at 5k ....Procharger all the way for me!so if anyone is giving the system away send it my way!!!
