Default Turbo exhaust

My turbo kit eliminates the cats and my current set up has two billets of the back making it a little to loud. What kind of hp/tq will it cost me to put a muffler where the passanger cat use to be? Is this a good idea???

The turbocharger itself will eliminate alot of the exhaust noise. I be the two mufflers in the rear will be enough once the turbo is on there.

you could get rid of the two muffles, and get one of those spiral flow mufflers that will allow you to have the same kind of flow, and will deaden the sound considerably

I wouldnt go with a spiral flow muffler. I have a moroso spiral flow and lose a solid 7 HP/TQ, and my car only makes 330 to the tires with the cutout open.

you need no muffs with a turbo. my car is quieter with open 3" pipes now than it was with the lt's and flowmasters. even at wot. and with no muffs, you will REALLY hear the turbo.

I'm gonna run a Loudmouth, that's almost like no mufflers... the little resonator on the I-pipe can barely be even noticed!

You don't want to run any type of chambered muffler... that includes spiral flow mufflers. Ideally the only type of mufflers want to run for max spool and max flow are straight through bullet type of mufflers, but they don't do all that much to kill sound (~2-3 db which isn't ****). Like others have stated, turbos kill a lot of the sound, but don't think you can NOT run mufflers and have it sound like stock...

actually, my car did sound stock with bullets on it. not to mention that the bullets killed ALL of the turbine whine.
