[QUOTE=KissMySSo1] Car went 11.2 @ 140 spinning to the 8th mile(15psi). Car made 756 at 15psi falling down to 13 on the dyno. The car holds steady at 15 on the street. Boost is set at 18 right now.
QUOTE]

So, Mightymouse runs 9's, you run 11's.

He makes 900+rwhp, you made 756.

He's an embarassment?

I think you should try accomplishing something before acting like you're better than everyone else.

Unfortunately only the GT42 has a compressor map. MP and PTE do not test their units. We are working to take care of this problem. We soon hope to be testing every unit we sell.

Yeah I've seen the 74mm version has a map that's been published, but I still haven't seen a map for a 76mm GT42, and I'm not sure there's one that's been released to the public at all?

Unfortunately the 76mm version is custom, so no maps are made.

Nah, I really couldn't care less about dyno numbers, the numbers on the timeslip are the only ones that matter to me. It goes 155mph on 20.2psi. When spring comes we'll see what it does at max boost (should be able to hit 28psi or so, when I had the 74mm version it hit 26psi on the dyno).

um how many cars make that much power, even with big injectors and BS3. 900 is no embarisment, give me a break.

Jose,

How well matched would a GT-42R 74mm be matched to a somewhat stock 6.0l longblock/4L60? Also how much power could that combo make and still be somewhat efficient - I understand you can only ballpark just wondering?
Thanks.

My head hurts someone here has a big ego just because they got some descent numbers granted they are no mm numbers, you should meet dave and race him and see who gets embarrassed, also dont be pissed if he put more money in his setup than you and is getting better numbers. (thats kinda the way it goes). *rant mode off*

From the talking i have done with Jose and others it looks to be no benefits at this time to go with the R version. Thats $1200 more back in your pocket...
Im sure he will chime in here soon.
Only us wierdo's are up this early posting....
How much Power do you want to make?? what your goals?? Power wise? ET??
I am not a big fan of the 4L60E anymore.....

If I thought I had infinite turbo knowledge but still came off sounding clueless enough to make noobs shake their head I would gargle with razor blades.

Sorry, I had to add to the drama...here's to MM and a car we all know exists

Like Kyle mentioned, keep your money on the R version. We are seeing very little difference in spool up with the DBB on these size engines. As for power, well the sky's the limit if your lucky, but more then likely sustained abuse I wouldn't push a stock shortblock more then 550-600, but that is me. You can get away with more, but make sure you have your funds aside for a rebuild

So if I can get a new GT-42R 74mm new for just over a grand from a guy I know, I'd being doing good right? The plan is to see how much the stock short block will hold with ARP bolts/studs in it. Then, when it goes, doing a budget forged build (just rods and pistons).

I hear you about the 4L60 however there is a company locally that will warrenty the trans to hold up to 750+ hp. If we blow it up, he will pay for the tow truck and labor and parts to fix the trans. Just really didn't want to throw a 4L80 in it and even less an th-350/400.

I was also wondering where is the best place to buy the SS (304) mandrel bends for the primaries on the headers I was going to make? I doubt you guys have a kit to work on a '67-72 chevy truck huh?

Thanks for the input either way guys.

If you get it for a grand ****** it up without even thinking about it. If you want to get stupid with it later on, we can upgrade it for you to the 76, 78 or 80mm version.

Very cool, can you PM me with a rough cost to do the upgrade? Just so it will be in the back of my head?

I appreciate your help guys.
