Default Ok, so, ordered the following, what else is needed?

I ordered a racetronix fuel system, with a set of 42# injectors, I have a rear end going in soon(blew teh 10 bolt) and otherwise my motor is entirely stock.

I also am ordering a clutch sometime this week.

What else do I need to do before I look into ordering the turbo kit?

I'm lookin for about 500-550 and I plan on doing a cam swap but if I can get away with just a cam and still make good #'s that's what im lookin for.

hehe sorry, I forgot to list that.

I'll be ordering a cam with new springs, retainers, whatever else is recommended with a cam.

I just meant I don't wanna bust into things like pistons or new heads if I don't have to to make those #'s reliably.

60lb/hr injectors, don't waste your time with 42's.

ditto on the 60#-ers. Why run injectors on a high duty cycle when you could have the 60#-ers do the job just chilling? Later if you go forged, then you don't need to upgrade again...

PUSHRODS, some chromoly pushrods are pretty cheap to buy and are GOOD insurance along with the valve springs while tuning.

With a stock or Z06 cam, do people ordinarily change the pushrods when they go boosted? I dont want to spin much over 6000.

so get rid of the 42ers and order 60lb jectors, and pushrods (this i planned in the first place, I have a feeling at least one of mine are bent)

other than a cam swap and all essentials, and then to forced induction, is 500-550 to much to ask for a single turbo setup and worry about reliability?

60's like the rest have said. You can make stupid amount of power with them and still idle like stock...no reason for any other injector unless your going extreme.

Agree with the 60#'s.... or I can always sell you my 42's

I would consider a Drive shaft.... and you didnt say anything about suspension... that needs to be done as well.

Oh and what kind of Turbo setup? What trim turbo? What PSI?

I have an STS and am making that power range at the wheels....

most of my suspension is done, I've got bilstein HD shocks, sportline springs (coming out for either coil overs or DMS), 3 point SFC's, strut tower brace, LCA's, adj panhard rod, among others. hehe

I don't know much about the turbo's yet, but I plan on learning as I like to do all the work myself so. Right now im just getting setup for the cam swap, so that after that I can focus on saving for the turbo and not have to worry as much about everything else holding up once it's in.

I don't really want an STS, I like the #'s and the idea, but the thought of having an air filter in place of a tailpipe just doesn't sit right with me

depending on the cost and stuff for the kit the hiflo is the one I'll probably going with, cam will more than likely be a custom grind, somewhere in the neighborhood of 224/228 116
