MY dyno reads .7-.8 lean so the 12.6 A\F is actually 11.8-11.9 A\F. I can run this kind of A\F due to the combustion chamber design, cam design and the big *** intercoller up front along with the efficient turbo. The intake air temp is located in front of the T\B and in these dyno test only gets 5-10 deg over oustside temp. If I was to dyno at 11.0-11.2 I would be blowing out black smoke like a diesel. This motor was built as a pump gas setup from the beginning. My N\A motors make the best power at 13.8-14.0 on my A\F display.

Now this is JUST a dyno test for now and IS NOT the final tune for the customer! Final street tuning is next.

Do any of you that preach 11.0-11.2 actually READ the spark plugs to see what is going on in the motor?
No Alan they dont even have a clue to what a spark plug should look like! Way to go Alan, thanks for stepping in to clear it all up.

Mike

Very nice

As for the tune,it doesn't matter because he'll probly just spin the tires everytime he get's on it. --no load on the motor

That's just frickin ridiculous.

I have heard nothing but great things from Futral. If I send my car anywhere to be modded, it will go to Futral.

I will go boost eventually, but I am still faster than the boosted TA on pump gas from 40mph to 160mph. Just kidding..

Try getting those numbers from an OBX. The silly thing is that new cores are in the middle of being designed for those intercoolers as I type. The core should be somewhere between 4.25" and 4.50"

Ok, more updates.

He ran the dyno with the 101/103 oct in the car(meaning i can run it on either oct).

16.2-16.3 lbs of boost, not sure on anything else, but it is at 947 rwhp and 885 rwtq.

no dyno graph, but will post when I get it.

so for 4 lbs more of boost thats a lil more then 100 rwhp, not too shabby.

He said the burst panel on the intake(normally used in nitrous setups) blew up or got sucked in or something happened to it, so he is ordering another one and will install it monday or tues or whenever it gets in.

DAMN if only that were a 98 and up camaro it could use the larger intercooler, core face are on that unit is about 287 square inches the one for the camaro is 420......Do you know what temerature it is inside the shop where this is getting dynoed? We are putting some of this information into the thermal modeling software we have. Any information you could provide would be a great help in providing revised intercoolers. I guess this answers PSJ question (is the cooler good for 1000 rwhp).

Well, all I know is that this is a griffin intercooler. I also have a griffin radiator and temps seem to running pretty good from what I heard.

Dont know the temps off hand, I ve got a horrible memory, lol.

As far as temperature inside the shop, I would assume prob in the 70's-80's... the shop is in Louisiana.

have you ever driven anything with this much horsepower ? I'm thinking no. You better put a cage in it so you don't kill yourself.

good numbers btw, now you gotta work on suspension so all that power doesn't go up to smoke when you get challenged.
