Isnt 3.3 liters HUGE? arent the KB's for teh cobras 2.2 liters? If that is the case then this thing wil make some sick numbers. I would love to see 1 of these under teh hood of a F-body. GL

the under the hood things is irrevelant, you would have to cut the windshield, the cowl, loose the wipes, and all that stuff.

th engines in our car are fit so far the rear we would have to cut into the passenger compartment some, kinda like por mods and funny cars

Sweet.

But yah you'd have to cut out the wiper/cowl quite a bit.

The 3.3L blower is physically Huge, so it would probably take a dedicated race car if you tried to put it in an F-Body.
It may well fit under the hood of a truck since there's a lot of height to play with under the hood. I could also see this fitting into the many kit cars that use the LS1 in a rear engine application with a transaxle.

who cares if that fits under the hood of a C5 or truck...thats why they make air nibblers...to cut holes in hoods... Never fit in an F-bod with the cowl over the intake

That is exactly what a Chevy SSR needs sticking out of the hood for me to buy one.

It would take more power to turn that thing than most people have N/A.

My KB is just a little 2.2L guy and it does the trick nicely. 3.3L is absolutely
huge. No way I'd bolt that bastard on. Talk about parasitic loss. Turbo
is the "right" way to go anyway.

i don't know, i could see it working in a little 2200lbs sports car like this!

http://www.ultimasports.co.uk/gtr/downloads.html

thanks Chris.

PS. a 402 LS2 would fit very nicely in there and even better if one of these things could go in on top of it!! hehe

Believe it or not, if you check out the compressor maps for the 3.3L Lysholm vs. the 2.3, it uses slightly less HP than the smaller one, particularly in the upper range. It turns a good bit slower for a given CFM output. The 2.3 is a bit more efficient on the lower end of the spectrum. Either one will make enough PSI to satisfy most needs. If you require a lot over 1000 CFM, the 3.3 starts to shine.
