Default Please recommend a cam for this setup?

Specs so far

01 C5 vette 6 speed
CR between 9.3 and 9.9 (feel free to recommend)
Forged pistons and rods
Stock crank and LS1 block
AFR 225's or Dart 225's ported. (depends on which show up first)
Kooks 1 3/4 LT's and hiflow cats, Borla Stinger
Magnuson I/C'd blower @ 7 tp 10 PSI w/ Meth injection
100 shot wet
HP tuners

I am looking for something with a bit of a lopey idle as long as it makes peak power below 6700 rpm's.

I need to make well over 500 rwhp without the juice. 600+ with.

Car is a street/strip daily driver.

Can you help? (Best if you know of a similar setup that is proven)

I would recommend the 9.3cr so that you wouldn't have to rely on the meth and you can turn the blower up higher...As for the cam I would run somewhere around a 228dur. , .560-.580lift and a 114lsa to keep the boost in the chambers where they belong...It would sound pretty good but it wouldn't defeat the whole purpose of the sc...That's prolly what I would do..

you don't need a cam it will be close with 10-11 lbs.
if you want a cam you don't need anything agressive. figure out where you want your powerband and where you will spending most of your driving and that will determine which cam to go with.

remember this, bigger is not better.

I'd run AFR 205 heads with 9.5-1 compression and a little 220/224 Cam on a 115 duration. Turn the idle down to 650rpm for your lope.No problem hitting 500rwhp with your Mag. and it will give a ton of midrange.

If I had the LS6 cam, I would probably keep it, but I don't. Also, if I can make the power up top, kill a little down low, have a bit of a lopey idle and not have to turn up the boost so much on the Heaton, it would be better.

What CR are you running with the Procharger and at what boost?

I searched and found an old thread regarding better heads on a FI application.

Does anyone have results from a heads only swap with FI?

I am thinking short duration / high lift as far as the cam goes. Any comments on that?
