Default sts gt 67 pics up more questions sts kit

i was wondering i just received my sts gt67 turbo from sts

and the compressor housing is a .60 and the turbine side is a .81

its marked ccc67 on the compresssor side

and the outlet from the compressor seems really tiny like

2" outside diameter is that how everyone elses is???

Are these even garret turbos they are not even marked garrett anywhere

any info on these would be appreciated

what makes this a 67 size turbo are they just reffering to wheel diameter??

do you think the wheels are the new garrett gt wheels?!?

Its more then likely the old 67mm turbo from garrett. Alot of them are not marked with anything other then M24 on the compressor cover. Its a 67mm front side with a p-trim exhaust side. Very old school, but it will make some decent power. As for new GT stuff....thats a negative ghost rider.

If you still don't see what I'm explaining, take a picture of the compressor wheel nose and post it.

ok i will! pics will be up this weekend . i think jose your talking about the end of the compressor wheel where it looks like some one took a cutoff wheel and did a sloppy job of making it hex looking... yeah mine does look as cut up as the one you have there "gt wheel" so i guess thats a feature ?!?!? lol looks like a 2 year old got ahold of dads whizzer! well hopefully it is so I can know
if david south was accuarate on his explanation. he said its a hybrid garrett gt turbo

That's just a standard 67mm wheel with the old fashion p-trim. Nothing GT about that turbo...sorry.

Their are different versions of 67's out there. But the typical is a small shaft and 3" E cover. They will make around 750-800hp crank max.

If it doesn't put out what it should, send it back and get a MP T-70 from Jose. Those things are rated around 840 at the carnk and can be had for around $630.

Later,

There must be some different types of 67 out there. Mine is a true GT-67, but Garrett won't list the turbos for STS kits on their web site. I'm pretty sure the GT-67 is a ball bering turbo, but I'm not sure.

I would like to hear the explanation from a STS dealer /manufacture on what a "True" GT67 is for the STS systems. As for ball bearing, thats not correct. Would an STS guy please chime in on the special GT67 you guys use. Please keep in mind I have 3 of the special GT67's on my shelf being rebuilt. . I've seen way to much BS posted about the turbos they claim to use. So someone enlighten the forum please.

The only thing GT they could claim would be GT=Garrett. Here is a good picture you can show them and explain to them what a GT series wheel looks like...hehe. Since my picture wasn't clear enough....hehe. ALL factory GT wheels are hex end bores.

Well my 67 does have the poorly cut hex head on the wheel. But I don't care as long as it works like its supposed to.
