How about a 10sec Crew Cab silverado/sierra 4X4? No way you'll do it for $20,000 though. Give me $20,000 and I'll do it for ya. Just ordered the 408 today, I'm on my way. May take 5 years, but.....

I agree with those above that it would be nice to have that kinda moola to throw around, but I digress...

My suggestion:
Build up an 86 or 87 GN with a big turbo

being serious, i would go with a Ulitma GTR!

see www.ultimasportscars.co.uk for more info

Oh and for any questions ask some of the guys on here! if they don't know it its not worth knowing about these cars!!!! http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/forum.asp?f=20&h=0

now the engine! well you have lots of choices, supercharged SBC, high reving high power SBC or LSx engine, turboed LSx, or even a mad 4WD twin bike engined monster making about 900bhp!

but they are all a little boring or OTT. now what i would go for is a W2W built 402 LS2 with their new twin rotex superchager kit on there! should fit nice just right in the GTR. and when you think you could probably build a gtr to weigh about 1000kg all up and you could make 900bhp from one of these, then you get a power to weight of 900bhp per ton!!!! thats insane!

now the current 0-100-0 record was donr in a GTR with 640bhp! i recon you could nock a few thenths off that with one of these engines!

just my thoughts, coz its what id do if i had the money!! hehe

Chris.

PS, here is a link to the twin rotex S/C kit that W2W are doing! more pics on page 2!

I thought Jess said he had $20k to spend??? New Z06's, exotics, custom kit cars... this plus a drivetrain costs A LOT more than $20k last time I checked!!! With some of the responses I read here, you'd think the man had $200k to play with!

Someone started a thread before on this but I think you should pick up a like supra body or maybe a 3000 gt body and drop a forged turboed 346 in there. That would be a badass combo and youd get the awesome supra or 3000 gt styling. JMO.

Im sure you could get a good donor body for like 3-5 K, then engine, trany, and rear would be around 15K or so, then some fabbing on your part but hey its a project! Def an idea that id pursue if i had the time.

I would say Destroked LS2, 91.5 single, dry sumped, spin to 10k with a clutchless 5 speed.

That will be a little more than 20k ,though.

Import a nissan skyline R34, throw in a TT or single turbo LSX. That would really get the import guys going.

The whipple can take it, you'd just have to pulley it down for the high rpm's to keep rotor speed in check.

BTW, it won't fit on a 4th gen. F body because of the cowl.

Yah, I kinda figured it wouldnt.

Im gunna stick the motor in my prostreet s10 i have..

It has that 400ci with a dyers 871, on it, but it is duel carbed.. And it is not fun to drive, It only gets 8 mpg.. That sucks...

So, ill just start the s10 for the project... And i guess leave the camaro alone and probably sell it and start another one after i sell it.

If anyone wants a done car,
408 , ALL Top of the line components, titanium rods ect..
stage 3 heads 2.08 titanium valves ect.., f2r with custom massive intercooler, willwood 6 piston calipers, 14in rotors, All top of the line suspension, "bmr",
mosier rear, viper spec trans, stage 4 spec clutch,
aluminum flywheel, "thanks bob"
all adjustable qa1 shocks and struts,
1500.00 carbon fiber racing seats,
its 99 camaro z28, i think it has around 24,000 miles on it, The Frame is definatly twisting, the passenger side window doesnt quite seal anymore due to the torque of the engine, It has buckled the top in the t-top area, Cant see it with the ttop in though... But the passenger window does get annoying...
I dont think there is anything left to buy for the car.... Ohh yah it gets 26 or so mpg, idles at 650 rpm pretty smooth, and NO DRIVABILITY ISSUES at all, my wife can drive this car with kids in it.. It is Very smooth driving, untill you give it the gas and the bypass valve closes.

Camshaft is 644 lift 244 duration, 117 ls.

As for a price? I have no idea, i have about 37,000 in the mods and motor, with all the custom parts that needed made for the internals, and the blower parts. It will probably just sit in my shop untill i get dumb and try and dump more boost to it....

The only thing i would do would be to tub it and put on bigger rears... IT will SMOKE the mickey thomson DRAG radials at any speed or gear, 150mph+ and floor it you will roast the tires... Not a very safe car at all..

Thats what I am talking about big RPM we are working on building a big rpm N/A motor this winter. Should be a fun street car.

It just might fit an f-body with a big hole saw and an air to water intercooler in the car...

Nate
