Like I said though it uses your center sections, exhaust wheel, and exhaust housing. All they do is machine your compressor housing and give you a larger compressor wheel.
you cant mount and leave a tire unbalanced so when something spins at 110,000 rpm it should'nt be too suprising that it has to be balanced..
A shop recomendation from me does'nt come easy and cant be bought...

Balancing - Turbos are dynamically spin balanced as a complete assembly to less than half the manufacturers allowable limit.

I have the bigger turbos and it still gets full boost by 3000rpm, but I have the heads and cam done, so that is helping air flow.

Jerry, Stage 3 has 0.86AR on the exhaust housing. Some stage 1's and 2's came that way so you may alredy have the correct turbine. Stage 3's have a Garrett GT30 compressor with the -11chra. (Your stage 1 is a GT28) Your current turbos top out around 44lbs/min each. The GT30's top out around 50lbs/min each. Additional 12lbs/min is worth roughly 120 engine horsepower. Limit Engineering is the way to go.

You are right.
Just get a GT30.... Upgrade....
Limits website looks alright. I just dont have any personal experience with the shop so I cant comment.
Check this out... I would save something like this for a front turbo mount..

Well well, I have this same smoking problem . . . put in the new motor ( with old scavenge pump ) and it smoked, only 1st 10 minutes. Replaced with a Weldon, still same thing. I've got the tanks still, and I've tried keying on a few times after shutdown, doesn't help. I'm really worried that I'm gonna yank the turbo and have it rebuilt and then find out it's still smoking.
SS2Win, so you routed the pass line under the k-member? Weren't you worried about scraping it on something? I'm wondering if I should try the same . . .

I have a question about buying used Incon kits... Will the kit itself ever die? I mean, is there ever parts of it that'll go out that'll force you to dump the kit? Or can you get it rebuilt/fixed?

Did any of you guys ever put a restrictor in the oil feed line to the turbos? I had a smoking problem with my Incon kit that was corrected by putting a restrictor inline and using the Puisi pump.

My car's passenger side line is under the k-frame. Took the tank off because it was way low and because the line itself, once under the k member, has enough of a reservoir , imo. Haven't had any smoking problems since the install (installer originally had to re-clock tubo for proper orientation). But, I don't put that many miles on the car.
mahhddgtp, I don't know why an incon kit wouldn't last a very long time. think the weakest part are the hoses.
Dug, maybe you got a blockage in the return line or maybe just bad luck with 2 pumps?

Just a note...I never had the scavenge tanks on my setup and it never smoked with the restrictor and when the pump was working, and all of my hoses were mounted above the k-member.

If I got a forged bottom end in the stock LS1 and got tuned for 93 octane and did exhaust, and stuff like taht... how much could i put down?

yeah crank case pressure can cause quite a few problems....... try the breathers on the valve covers. Its not a bad place to start and its not too expensive.

Not to step on toes but here is what Tom Porter said about Incon turbos

Incon's terminology was designated as GTBB35 for the turbos using the 446179-32 cartridges. The GTBB37 was the use of the 700177-11 cartridge. There was no correlation at the time between Garrett's numbers. Similar to HKS using their own designations like 3037. While some might think these were just remachined housings, they were not. If you take a T28 turbine housing and an Incon housing you will notice they are not the same thickness as the incon was quite a bit thicker for better placement of the turbine wheel. This positioned the turbo forward over 1/4 inch more than a comparable T28 turbine housing while leaving the exhaust flange in the same location. The compressor cover also was similar to the t04B BUT was built with a slightly different casting and machining of the bolt pattern. This could be why Gary "Red WS6 99" had issues with nearly every bracket on his install using standard t04b covers and t28 turbine housings.
The stages were simply;
Stage 1 GTBB35 turbos (capable of 760-800hp) with no emu (option GTBB37)
Stage 2 GTBB35 turbos with emu (option GTBB37)
Stage 3 GTBB37 turbos (capable of 950-1000hp) with emu and some other stuff
Hope this clears up any questions.

WOW, I'm glad the thread has taken an awsome turn in terms of being a great source of info for incon owners and people just wondering about the kits in general. I decided to keep my kit and upgrade to the larger turbos since the turbos is what was wrong with my car.
CRANKCASE PRESSURE SOLUTION- Summit part #MRG-6002. Check it out, only $32 and completly solves the problem. It relieves virtually all crankcase pressure. Some supras use this and have picked up over 20rwhp. It also helps to spool the turbos quicker from what I hear.
