Two videos of diesel classes at most of your pull events.

Tractor class......best by far

Stock truck class is big now. Since most people can actually afford this class.

wait till you see the ones with 2 of the V24 old Airplane engines on them, i forget what they run.

then you have the 6 SBC's, and the 5 or so Jet Turbines

Default Turbos

The turbos are pretty basic,to reach that kind of boost you just have to compound them, and some of them do it,with more than one stage of compounds, but 250 PSI is very common for a diesel tractor, but the alcohol tractors generally only need around 100 to make then same power!!!!

I read in the book "turbochargers", in the tractor pulling section that some of these good ol' boys are pushing as much as 350 PSI. in the deisels with muliple turbo's in series. Look it up.

600 inch turbo diesels with three turbos and 1XX+ psi will do that. Our head guys at work have built some of the fastest tractor pullers around. I love that stuff

those tractors have over 90 mph wheel speed when going down the track. Also those turbos measure about 1-2 feet in diameter. BIG! and on the super stock alcohol they have Two small (like a thumper) feeding a HUGE one.

The 5.9L Cummins might take that when heavily modified. From the factory they run 20ish.

lol.

someone (a year ago when this was new) asked what kind of turbo they run.
even though most guy act like its secret squirrel shiznit, most of them run holset turbos.

they're for LARGE desels, such as the tractors above, boats, ect... most guys buy them for tractor pulls and or replacements for stock cummins apps (big BIG trucks, farm equipment, boats, ect) .
