Default D1SC and passing emissions?

I have a stock 2000 WS6 now, but here's the plan-
D1SC with 8-10# of boost
kooks LT's with a catted y-pipe
GMMG cat back

I live in Vegas and have to comply with emissions every year and I'm wondering if the dual cats are going to cut it? Obviously I'm going to be running pig rich for the boost. If not, any ideas for a temporary set-up I can go to to pass smog and go right back to afterwards?

Thanks!

You will only be running rich while at wide open throttle. Part throttle will still be good, you shouldn't have any problems at all provided you get a good tune. Bob

Thanks Bob! Man I wish I was going to be close to you guys when I get this started! Unfortunately, Nevada is more than a weekend cruise away!

My car passed emission with flying colors, I am not sure on how Vegas does ther emissions but in Illinois they use the OBD 11 scanner. If your car doesnt have a ses light on you will pass within 5 seconds. Otherwise they will put your car on ther dyno and do the old sniffer test. I had to do the sniffer test and passed with no problem at all.

As long as you don't have trouble codes stored you'll be allright. It's the cam that hurts emissions.

From my understanding of what the local speed shop told me, you can have a total of two "not-ready's" when you go for a smog check. So both of your rear O2's can be deleted or throwing CEL codes and you could still pass as long as it sniffed okay. This is Nevada, so I don't know how it works for other states, but you have at least a little room to play. I'm most worried about passing the sniff itself, that's what is going to force a removal of FI once a freakin' year! But since I'll be running dual cats like the stock setup I should be fine.

The same rules apply here in Illinois, you have 2 chances for the OBD 11 test, if you fail you have the option of the sniffer test both times. If you come back for the third time the only test you can take then is the sniffer.
Superjoe, since you are supercharged you shouldnt have any problem passing the sniffer test. That is if you have a SES light on, otherwise you will be fine.
To my understanding supercharged setups actually make the car run a little more effiecient and make it easier to pass. This was the case for my car, but I had High flow aftermarket cats. If you dont have cats you could run into a problem.
Just make sure that if you do have a SES light on or had the code/codes cleared that you let thecomputer fully go through its cycle of all the elctronics before you go get it tested. I cleared my codes right before I got the the Emissions place and there computer stated "Computer not ready" since my computer didnt have time to run its normal cycle check.
If I remember right it takes the cars computer 30 miles or so before it has ran through everything.

I passed the sniffer test without cats. Not even close to failing. This was before OBDII.
