New Numbers
We have a 9,5-1 402 doing 569rwhp with the 4.0 pulley -4lbs of boost. Just put on a 3.4" pulley and will be dynoing it tomorrow
CR is 9.0 with 18*-20* of timing. Once I get the AFR leaned out a bit, I will play with the timing some more.
SPEC
402LS2 at 9.5-1 comp.
AFR 225 heads
232/238 with .590/.590 lift on 115 dur.
Kook stepped headers
Cutout
9" with 3.73 gears .locker
M6
Timing at 22 degree's from 2200 to 3800rpm, 20deg at 4000rpm,18degree at 4400rpm,then 16 degree on the rest. A/F was at 11.2-1 across the board.
Just to give you an idea

I don't think a half point on CR would make that much of a difference.
The only other thing is the heads. They were Absolute Heads and we know he went out of business.
And I do lock the converter on the dyno.

The Best V8 Stories One Small Block at Time
BTW-3 of my 346's push more HP than this 402 with smaller heads and Cam,so cubes don't make that much of a difference
