I like the P1sc -2 for stock or H/C 346's.

The ultimate is the old school plain D1 which is hard to get.Flow's as well as an F1.

I initially had a P1SC with my kit and it just wasn't cutting it. Alot of people get it done with the P1SC and others end up upgrading to the D1SC (like me). The main reason to opt for the P1SC would be that it carries a C.A.R.B sticker in case of inspection related issues.

If that's not an issue I'd personally do the D1SC (8-rib). It'll save you money down the road from having to upgrade (not sure on the current price of that) . That is assuming you would be like everyone else and be unable to fight the urge of upping the boost .

They are for the most part identical. The difference is the D1SC flows 200 cfm more than the P1SC and is rated to support roughly an extra 100 hp. The difference is in the design of the impellar not the case. I was told when mine was upgraded that the internal bearings were changed as well. Here's a link to the different models specs.

I want to forge my internals like the 03/04 cobras. How much do you think it would cost to forge my internals? When I get a procharger will I have to lower the compression? What is the compression on the LS1's?? Thanks!

Standard LS1 is 10.0:1 and the LS6's are 10.5:1.

You don't need to lower the compression ratio when installing an ATI ProCharger on a stock engine running 8 psi of boost, but if you're doing a forged bottom end I would shoot for a 9.5/1 compression ratio. Bob

They do on the LT1's. The LS1's get the 8 rib assembly. Bob

The price difference is approx $200.00 when placing the initial order, between the P-1SC and the D-1SC. If sending in a P-1SC to upgrade it to a D-1SC, it will cost approx $1,200.00.
The best way to go is to order the 1GJ204-SCI model, which is an D-1SC that comes with the eight rib belt assembly. It also includes the new for '05 larger 4.5" thick twin hi flow intercoolers. These intercoolers are one inch thicker than the smaller intercoolers, and provide better cooling. The eight rib model requires a different harmonic balancer, made by ATI Performance Products. ATI Performance Products is a totally separate company from Accessible Technology Inc. Bob

Hey Bob,
Is there another option out there for a harmonic balancer other than the ATI one?
Hopefully cheaper?

If not when are you going to come up with your own?

Fluidampr might make one that will work, which is what we use on the GTO's with an ATI ProCharger. I'll have to check to see if one would work on an F Body. Bob

Depends on what your goals are.
If you plan on staying on a stock motor go with P1SC
If you plan on more cubes or forged internals go with a D1SC

WeLL I plan on getting a brand new LS1 with a forged bottom end and throwing on a procharger, but with the engine (LS1) in my car now I plan on putting cams in.
