Default Meth VS IC

Why run an intercooler if you are planning to run a alky kit too???

the cooler the charge, the more timing that can be run, the more power you make.

I am pretty familar with alky Alky is great for pulling heat out of the air but it does have limits. Having both would be ideal.

How much boost could you run on straight met alone?

Where did you come up with these figures..

I'm running 13 to 14psi w/o Meth on my Dual Intercooler setup..

No KR for me.. 20 deg of timing.. and 91 to 93.5 oct Gas

You can run more boost than 4 to 5 psi W/O the IC just lower your timing tables..

with no intercooler and meth + 93 i can run 15 psi at 15 deg timing in the cool air
intercooler and meth 15psi and 20 deg of timing (intercoolers are way past efficiency)

346 with 9:1 pistons and #317 heads so i'd guess 8.8:1

On the Stock Bottom End and Cast Heads with only valvetrain upgrades

I was running 8psi and getting a touch of knock up top so we backed down on my GTO. The car was making 550rwhp and does have a single IC that came with my Procharger.

Now I run 11psi with methanol and get no knock all the way up to 603rwhp. I am quite happy I put methanol on my car.

I went from 11psi with no methanol and only making 570ish rwhp to adding the methanol and making over 615 on my best hotlapped pass on the dyno! I talked to my tuner and decided I wanted it to be safer than that so we pulled a degree of timing and ended up just over 600rwhp!

Methanol is one of the better things I have done for my setup. Wish I would have done it when I was running 8psi so I had another comparison for you!
