An electronic controller (EB2) will not let you run boost lower than the preset on the wastegate. It will let you program how much more boost you want beyond the gate.

Thanks for clearing that up for me onfire. The main problem is that the car is making boost to early(2000rpms) That is extremly low for that kind of boost. Also the car is sputtering like the spark is blown out or something when the boost comes on, but only when the car has load like on the dyno. It doesnt sputter on the street when it just spins the tires.

Start taking out possible variables. Eliminate the eboost from the equation and hook a vacuum line from the turbo the wastegate and leave the other port open. That way you know you are only running off the wg spring. If one of the vacuum lines is not hooked up, has a tear or is hooked up backwards, it will never open the wg pretty much max out the turbo, probably blowing your motor in the process.

Making 8psi at 2000rpm doesn't sound right at all. As stated above, I hope you don't have a really small exhousing (should run .96 a/r or larger on a T-4 single front mount).

Tell them to pull the damn gate off and check to see if it is opening using some vacuum line and an air compressor. You could set the outlet pressure of the compressor at 8 to 10 psi and visually see the gate open. If the gate doesn't open, it busted.

Are you sure 8psi at 2500rpms seems high. I would think it you wouldnt want boost to come on so early just like you wouldnt want nitrous to come on before 3krpms. Then again I am new to FI and have no idea what I am talking about.

if its building that much boost at 2500 then by 5 grand it will probably be close to 15 psi.

I think you have the wrong spring in there personally. for now just run the 5 lb spring.

boost creep is traditionally linked to the wastegate being too small. but if 'turboslut' says it's enough, then i'd trust him, dude knows his stuff. i'd definitely say it's something hardware related, either not opening at all or not big enough of an opening. i'm very curious to what it is. start exhchanging parts, maybe something's just broken.

Aw, man... I thought you'd had it figured out by now.

Wastegate, Turbo, something's gotta be f8cked up!

The God of Turbo Delay... Hey Frost, that really stuck with me.

Don't worry, I have had some delays of my own with the turbo cooking a bit too much oil... but it's getting done with some nozzles and a scavenger pump.

Well it's not everyday that we can lay a name onto a heretofore unnamed (but obviously real) entity...

His power is clearly drawn from estimated completetion times...
